Skip Stoner has finally returned to Key West, and as soon as he does, he gets a call from his dad, Larry, about an old friend's missing daughter. Dan, Red, and Skip head to Siesta Key, Florida in search of the young college girl, whose friends say they haven't seen her in days. Her boyfriend, a young man from an affluent family, has returned home without her, has retained a lawyer, and isn't talking. Join the trio as they piece together the timeline—using the young girl's social media pages—of the days leading up to Lisa Brink's disappearance.
“Dean made it about twenty-five yards before Dan threw his 9mm, hitting the boy in the back of the head. Dean stumbled forward, landing on his knees on the blacktop. As Dean tried to get to his feet, Dan tackled him.”
So, how could Dan be “hitting the boy in the back of the head” with his 9mm 25 yards away and not kill him?
The author continues to produce high quality humor mixed with a page turning plot . Quality and consistency appears to be the author's goal, which he continues to meet time after time. I highly recommend starting down the path of reading one of the series .
Another action packed Dan Coast story. An absolutely funny adventure or better yet misadventure. My only issue is I wish the Dan Coast books were another hundred pages or more. They end way too soon.
Dan, Skip, and Red at their best - having a few drinks while also solving the next mystery. I really enjoy the series, and this one doesn’t disappoint.
I've always enjoyed reading the Dan Coat series. The friends dynamic is priceless. It was interesting to read how Skip took the lead this time. It seems there must be something in his past that allows him to do this. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
Dan, Red and Skip, the 3 amigos. What a team they make! Skip, the mystery man, is an enigma wrapped in a surfer disguise. When will his true identity be revealed? I think government, maybe CIA or FBI or DEA or he is just a really cool dude?
These guys are BFFs even though they'd never admit it to anyone. Can't wait for the next one. I'm always craving a good fish sandwich like Dan Coast prefers.
Full of humor and surprises. These books are entertaining and yet full of wonder as the story goes on. Thanks for another good story. Would recommend to anyone
Mr. Riegel is not only a good writer he is also a comedy writer. I have now enjoyed 16 books in this series and looking forward to more of the Tales of Dan Coast.
