Hearts and flowers and deadly chocolates. When Saffron meets a mysterious man with no name and no memory, she has no idea that he'll end up at the center of a Valentine's Day murder.
Hawaii's Hau'oli La Aloha, or Day of Love, promises to be full of intrigue.
Saffron also has to plan Maika'i's Valentine's Dance alongside her old flame.
Disappointed in this book and the next. Not sure if something has happened with this author but she surely can't be using an outside editor. I'm wondering if this book is AI generated tbh.
So I've been loving this series. It totally had me hooked. I was even looking up birds and flowers and food on the internet because I was so intrigued. Then, the book before this one a character's name changed and I thought, "That's weird but probably a fluke." And kept reading.
Now this book the character Evelyn is sometimes Evie and there's no rhyme or reason given for this. Also, Keahi explains to Saffron that she's a tetrachromat and she's surprised. Hang on - we learned this about her in the very beginning of this series. Why is she surprised? It's a huge part of who she is.
I finished this book but was upset the whole time with this new, yet contradictory story addition that they kept talking about.
Please see my review for the next book in the series for more information.
As Valentine's Day nears, everyone is caught up in gift giving and Saffron is planning a huge community party. Then a homeless man collapses and a bank employee dies in her car. Keahi plans his proposal to Evelyn, and Saffron's first love, Reggie, walks into Holly's flower shop.
Will Saffron survive the chaos? In the spirit of aloha, every day can be filled with love.
This is one of my favorite series. I was glad to see the detailed descriptions of Hawaiian food and Saffron’s ability to see more colors brought back as main plots in the story. And I’m still waiting for her love life to sort itself out. I’m very much looking forward to reading the next one.
This series is such fun I want to live on the egg farm on the beach in this cute little Hawaiian town. The characters are lovely people, with only a few exceptions. The Mysteries are always good, and I love learning a little bit more about chickens which vary in ways I never could have imagined.
Intrigue, unexpected arrivals, side wise plans that turn out better than expected. Valentines in Hawaii! Many threads gathered to form a whole cloth. Love this series!
