Counting this as chapters 0 through 41 because it’d feel like cheating on my goodreads challenge lol.
Read all the available chapters in less than two days, missed Solo Leveling and wanted something similar and turns out this is from the same creator????? I keep winning.
Geon is insanely overpowered but i still liked it a lot, super enjoyable and made me laugh out loud.
This had the makings of a really interesting action fantasy manhwa (love a good revenge story, and an OP MC), but I got bored pretty quickly. I made it about 25 chapters before giving up because nothing emerged for me to get emotionally invested in. The broader universe/worldbuilidng was interesting, but nothing had happened that could constitute a plot, and the MC is a bit off-putting because his character is thin as tissue paper. Other than being OP, he apparently has a vague desire to get revenge, but is mostly just an immature manchild who nevertheless beats up bullies. Similarly, the villains are equally as 2D, power-hungry and immature for the sake of it.
Overall, there are too many interesting AF manhwas to keep going with one that doesn't have that hook.
Amazing art with a mediocre plot. The story progression is pretty awkward and almost always feels forgettable. The real strengths of this is the attention to detail and the character depth. It does an especially good job with side characters.
OP and chaotic like Hyeonu, but that chaos is focused on revenge. They'd better not ship him with his friend's daughter who has a crush - he calls her niece for god's sake.
