And after months of hard work, my book is finally published. It's a collection of seven short stories, written from the perspective of a seven year old, to a sixty year old, across genres.
"There is this line in between optimism and pessimism. It's called being realistic."
I am not so much into short stories but this book has my heart. It is a collection of seven very simple stories narrated in a way that compels you to ponder on those fleeting emotions. Some stories are written with numerous POVs. This novel takes you on an emotional roller coaster. It consists of very situational stories, like, a seven-year-old kid who would do anything to bring a smile to his little sister's face, a man who decides to die with a proper plan so that his family spends a financially sound life. The writing style is simple and lucid. A couple of taboos and the lives of different people during Covid are described in a comprehensible manner. "The Big If" and "My Dad's Funeral" made me cry buckets. The cover of the book is designed in such a manner that it depicts every story. This book genuinely deserves recognition. Kudos to the author for doing such a fantastic job.
First of all I loved the cover. It perfectly matches the stories that we are going to encounter inside the book. Now let me introduce this book, The Fleeting Emotions by Rahul Jain. This book have 7 different stories and all are filled with different emotions scaling from happiness of conceiving a baby after so many of them failed to a little boy wishing to see his little sister happy.... And i do have a favourite among the stories. And that is 'the big if'. People who loves to read short stories, please pick this one up. Trust me you will thank me later.
"The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think upon.” - Brandon Sanderson
"Fleeting Emotions" is a collection of 7 short stories. This book is a roller coaster ride of emotions. It includes titles like, "The Stranger of the Night, The Day I Decided To Die, The Teacher's Niece, My Dad's Funeral" etc.
Feeling of being parents, Love story of a teenager, Guy looking for death due to debt, Son lost his father, Love and care towards your sister are the key highlights.
"When you take things for granted, the things you are granted get taken.”
This book also justified this quote. When you experience gratitude and joy, you flourish. You find yourself. You know who you are. You let yourself breathe when you feel the weight of the world on you.
It is written in engaging and simple language. The author discussed various unspoken things about our Indian society. He also highlighted issues faced by people due to covid. The pinch of humor involved in this book will force you to complete it in one sitting.
This book is a collection of very good stories. Emotions are threaded differently in each story, although the summary of each story can be read on the back cover. Yet every brain has a different ability to understand stories.
The essence of the feeling of the seven stories in my words: The Stranger of the Night: Have faith in yourself and the divine power that runs the entire universe. This story taught me never to give up hope in life. The Teacher's Niece: A boy is trying very hard to cope with his education. How the tuition teacher's niece taught him life lessons is very interesting. An eye-opener story. The Day I Decided to Die: A person who wants his family to lead a decent life when he decides to die so that they can get the insurance money. The day he decided to die, he learned something that we all ignore about life. Always remember that life is gorgeous, full of opportunities. The Big If: We all miss some opportunities. These opportunities have the power to transform our lives. The only thing left after losing it is the "big if". My Dad's Funeral: Death is inevitable and this is the truth of life. After the sudden demise of his father, the protagonist goes through a variety of emotions as he remembers the lessons taught by him. The Chills: It is like a horror story that can be felt while reading. Croissant: A brother's love for his younger sister Tikki (a quite cute and unusual name), to fulfil her dream. This story proved to be an emotional roller coaster ride for me.
🔹️ What I liked about this book: ✅ The way the emotions are carved in each story is commendable. ✅ A heart-touching story that will stay etched in the depths of your heart forever.
The fleeting emotions is a book that has really beautiful stories like The day I decided to die, The teacher's niece , the big if. The author has written every story in detail and the content is super amazing.
Every human has several sentiments within them. They show different emotions according to the situation, so alike that the author has written this book about human emotions. I really loved all the stories.
I really enjoyed reading and I recommend this book to every reader.
Collection of short stories across Genres from a debutant author which is very hard to guess.
If you like only some specific genre of stories, you would feel like flipping through other stories.
Characterization and style of writing is very easy to read. Ideal target audience would be the first time or novice readers.
My favourite among the short stories is Croissant, which coincidently has a Tamil movie Kaaka Muttai https://g.co/kgs/5xwx6h already to fame which won National award.
Second best was the day I decided to die, which imbibes lots of positivity.
Overall the book is a worthwhile read and far above standards for a debutant writer.
Fellow readers, go give this book a shot and you wouldn't regret the time spent and rather be glad you picked this book
Our emotions are constantly shaping us. The way we think, act, make decisions are in some way propelled by emotions. Such compelling feelings influence the way we love forward in life, both large and small.

This is such a sweet and light read. As recommended in the description part, this is a thin book you could read in the morning while sipping your coffee or before bed or while traveling. If you love books that revolve around emotions and the glimpses of it, this is for you. A suggested read for readers of all ages. If you look forward to a thin book to finish your GR reads, you will love this. Did I mention a creative writing style?
📖Each and every story has a different feel to it. This book made me feel so full! It has seven stories in total- 1. The stranger of the night 2. The teacher's niece 3. The day i decided to die 4. The big if 5. My dad's funeral 6. The chills 7. Croissant
✨I wont tell you all much about the stories because i want you people to read the book. But i really want y'all to know what each of the stories made me feel: 🍂 The first story filled my heart with utmost joy and made me believe in hope. It made me feel like the universe will guide me through and help me when I'm not at my best. That i will get through this and be happy again. 🍂 The second one was a good read and had an okayish plot, but i wasn't expecting it to end the way it did so yes it turned out to be a good one! 🍂 The third story started on a darker note, but had such a sweet ending! It reminded me of why i shouldn't give up on life and keep moving ahead. 🍂 The fourth story started with a unique combination of first person and third person point of views about two people and we get to know about their forgotten love for each other as the story proceeds. This was one of my favourite stories and it melted my heart. It told me that life is short and we should take initiatives when we see fit. 🍂 The fifth story made me feel a lot of different emotions. But one thing that i learnt was that a person should be with their loved ones and let them know that they love them while they are still alive. Because you never know when's the last time you get to see them. 🍂 And well, i won't say much about the sixth story apart from the fact that it literally gave me chills. The horror element was really well put and the end was something i won't forget. 🍂 And what do i say about the last story?! It's wholesome to the e! It was also one of my favourite stories of the book.
✨In all, this book made me feel a wide spectrum of emotions through each of the stories- love, hurt, emptiness, horror, hope etc.
The best part about this book was that it didn't have a single grammatical error and the whole book was written in a smooth writing. The cover of this book was so minimalistic and perfectly represented each and every story through a small illustration. really really want y'all to stop Whatever you're doing rn and read this book!!! wa

🍁We seldom come across incidents in our real life that shape the way we think, the way we operate, and the way the results of our actions come out.
" There is this line in between optimism and pessimism. It's called being realistic. "
🍁These incidents trigger emotions, and the so-called 'little things' define human behavior and who we are. These emotional drivers affect our relationships with society, with our loved ones, and most importantly, with ourselves.
🍁The book is such a capture a few such moments, starting from birth, celebration, insecurity, fear, loss, lust, and death.
🍁After so long I somehow felt connected to the emotional side of the stories presented though i found myself in the position of the individuals throughtout the read.
🍁You should totally go for the book if you feel somehow connected to the quote mentioned above. I'm deeply humbled by the book and it deserves the attention.❤️
🍁Rating - 4.6/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First of all, kudos to the author, it's his first book and it's really amazing, looking forward for your more work ✨
This book is a collection of seven short stories, all are different from each other. All the stories depict the several emotions of various people.
The best part of all the stories were the unsaid twists and turns which made them really gripping and you can't put down reading the half story as you will not be able to sleep without knowing the end. While reading the stories, you will also feel the rollercoaster ride of emotions withing yourself, two-three stories are emotionally inclined also, which made my eyes watery and one story made me laugh also. After reading this book, you'll feel happy, sad, pity for some characters and many more💕

Language is very simple, fast paced and short stories. Highly recommended to the beginners and as well to all the people who want a good light read afer all the heavy reads out there.
Emotions are such a tendency of human beings which either makes them or ruins them. There are many people who stay away from these "emotions" they say that, although we all know that it is not possible. There are always feelings in people coming and going, even if it is only a little, but it definitely happens.
This book of the author is a collection of seven different stories, in which different types of emotions are mentioned. A couple longing for a child, a thoughtless boy who is in love with his teacher's niece, a man on the verge of ending his own life, a boy who is in memory of his dead father, a forgotten lover who is in the thoughts of his estranged girlfriend, a girl who is in herself and remains cut off from the rest of the world, a brother who longs to fulfill the needs of his beloved sister. In these stories, every emotion has been reflected by the author.
That's all here, to know the story ahead, definitely read this interesting story.
Talking about the author's way of writing, I found it simple yet heart touching, I myself have read this book in one sitting. I really liked the way the author shared the story. Must Read

It is entirely appropriate for the type of content the book contains. Since I don't want to send you any spoilers, I won't tell you anything about the book. This book's language is straightforward and simple to understand.Rahul has a manner of delivering his stories that captivated me and left me anticipating how everything would pan out at the conclusion while giving the impression that the characters were physically performing the minor actions. I admit that I wish the endings had been more satisfying, but I do see that the author did it on purpose in order to make the situations and acts of the characters seem realistic and true.
Brief tales are the way to a peruser's entire being. The unpretentious craft of passing on an ethical message in two or three pages is excellent. On the off chance that my past explanation is valid, Rahul Jain is a craftsman. Momentary Emotions comprises of a summit of brief tales that play with the peruser's heart. Suitably named, this book depicts a plenty of feelings and makes a sensational showing of conveying the said feelings by means of the vehicle of stories. There are various feelings in every story. The aggravation of a family when they are kicking the bucket to get a youngster, the aggravation of adoration birds when their ways can never impact, sadness, distress, and the dream love of teens are the subject of the book. An exceptionally short yet rousing and endearing story. Stories which can make you cry and chuckle simultaneously and gain from something very similar. Each story works up a particular assortment of feelings in the peruser. Stories is improved by the incorporation of appealing models by the creator.
Emotions are those things which have a habit of either gettiing in our way or getting us on our way. And hence, it is imperative that we learn to use them rather than to think with them.
There are many instances which happen in our life that we may not feel are rather important, however as time goes by and when we ponder, we realize that they were pretty significant.
‘The Fleeting Emotions’ by author Rahul Jain is a compilation of seven different short stories that are jam packed with such feelings that will leave us reeling.
My favorite story out of all of them was The Chills. It depicts the plight of an introvert and how there were certain circumstances that made her ponder with a rather shocking and sad ending.
I liked how all the stories in the book are so very different from each other, yet they are all connected together by the narration of the author, hence I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Emotions come and go, Don't rely on them to take important decisions, and you'll do fine! That's what we are taught since the beginning of time i guess! But the very essence of human existence depends on how we feel and process these emotions, isn't it!
Author Rahul Jain has perfectly described what i just wrote in his storytelling way. This book is short, filled with short stories of people living with loss, dealing with grief, processing traumatizing childhood incidents, overcoming emitional breakdowns. This book, surprisingly has an atmosphere of typical busy Indian life.
The characters and the environment of the book is very well written. Described in tiniest details they are! This can be a light read for anyone who wants to enjoy his/her me-time. The language of the book is very simple so it can be a very suitable book for beginners. Avid readers will find this book a lot easier and smoother to read. Grab your copy soon and happy reading!
