Travelling for everyone is different, some travel to escape while some travel to discover. Everyone has their own travel story. But but do you know about the type of travellers? About travel type and sectors?

Aldis Kuskis & Brigita Stroda's Better Travel is a perfect travel guide for all travellers.

The authors cover it all, interestingly explain the concepts. What I liked most is the facts and details about various places that you will discover.

Right from accommodation to travel agents to types of travellers, it's a well detailed and well-researched book that I have come across. The author has explained every single detail about travelling that would help travellers gain a better travel experience.

With a simple and intriguing writing style, This book is a perfect guide with checklists for better travel and the dos and don'ts. I loved the concept of sustainable travel and the culture & history part the most.

Overall, It's an interesting book that you will love if you love to read about travelling or want to get a better travel experience. A perfect guide.

I picked up this book, hoping to get a glimpse into previously unknown area which would give me some ideas for future travels. I managed find some (for which this book gets two stars), however, rest of the book felt like an justification for 'travel advisor' existence and, in the last few pages, also a pitch for the authors' travel company. Thorough the book, authors wanted to impress you with their extensive knowledge of experiences, however, mostly it consisted of name-dropping various places and experience suggestions, adding a little personal note implying that the authors' have themselves experienced that. This could have been true, if not for completely shallow descriptions ("Play jazzminton with your family on Ipanema beach in Rio, Brazil"). I understand that the goal was to evoke sense of wonder and emotion, but after reading this book, I will stay away from anyone who calls themselves a 'travel advisor'. As a last note, it seems that a lot of advice was geared towards people from image/face-obsessed cultures (such as Latvia, Russia, China) and nouveau riche. Sad, but not really authors' fault since it's probably just a representation of their clientele. I guess authors' intention is to help you and your partner pick (and justify?) more 'instagrammable' experience so you can brag to your social circle. I hoped that a book with title "Better Travel" would have higher aspirations, but I was wrong.

🍷This is one of the most practical approach to start a life changing journey. When I picked this book, I instantly assumed this one is only for travellers but the author proved me wrong this isn't just a travel guide but it's actually an awakening journey that put insignificant insights on how to or when to travel better.

This book stimulates the desire to travel more for people who don't travel. I also loved the complete new perspective it provides with researched data and analytics. Even though it I wouldn't say this is basically a guide, but a sumptuous journey of exploring the world.

The language is easy, the book is filled with a lot of nostalgic moments and I was totally surrendered to the traveler within the pages. A book that will change your opinion about a lot things and will help pop a new perspective about the art of moving from one place to another. Go for it. It's definitely recommended.

I was quite surprised when Aldis told me he was writing a book. I asked myself what more is there to write? But I was in for a surprise. It started with the wonderful texture of the book. I am a "touchy-feely" person, so I love holding the book. I also like the cover, the colour and the font. The fun element " the not so dirty secrets of Travel Advisors" - intriguing. The book is easy to read and I can recommend it even to Travel Professionals. It would also make a nice Xmas or Birthday present. Or just when you want to surprise someone or make them get "itchy feet".
Well done!
