All I Am is categorized as a Catholic Devotional, but no matter what denomination of Christianity you relate to or belong to, this is a powerful and effective book to help young people discover who they truly are in their heart and soul.

Each two-page devotion includes a Scripture verse, devotional message, quote from someone famous, a brief prayer, and a ‘Digging Deeper’ section that gets teens to become more insightful through questions or simple activities.

The book is well organized and easy to read, and the page decorations make it feel youthful and fun. By getting to know God, our creator, we can better know ourselves and what we were created for. This is one of the better devotionals I’ve seen for young people.

Encouraging quotes from saints, popes, and inspiring Catholics
Original and traditional Catholic prayers that help you easily connect with God every day

My Review:

Even a young person could use a devotional. It helps put your spiritual walk in perspective and it helps them to apply it better. Life is difficult enough then throw on puberty and its probable a very bad nightmare. Once that is hard to face alone. They need God to guide them and direct them.

The book includes 90 devotionals each with scripture reference, summary and digging deeper questions. Each one is max two pages--so short and sweet. Kids just need a little nudge each day and this is a devo that can provide just that.

Great resource!

**Disclosure**This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Short daily devotions with lots of good questions but I wish there were more space to write.

This is one of those rare books where the title does an excellent job of describing the contents, altho’ I do think it can be successfully used by anyone, not just teens. 90 short devotions that begin with an affirmation, (of sorts), “God is Creator…I am God’s masterpiece. This will remain for 14 days and the entirety of those lessons will focus around that characteristic of God and your intended result; cause and effect, if you will. Following this is a scripture taken from the NRSV version of the Bible. Also included are relevant quotes from well known and respected heroes of the Catholic faith. The devotion could take 5 minutes or 5 hours depending on your investment. Questions are asked along the way with very limited space available to write.

Each daily devotion closes with an area called “Digging Deeper”. That section does have space provided for writing but it’s also small. The close of each week asks summary and review questions and provides a full page with lines called “R&R: Rest & Remember”. I’d suggest using a separate journal for working thru this book so it could be used again or by someone else.

The devotions end with a 91st exercise to finish off week 13. It’s a conscience check against the 10 Commandments. Thankfully, the author does mention it could take more than a day! Closing out the book are 2 brief indices: “Where to look when I feel…”. “Where to look when I wonder…”

All things considered, leans more on feelings than theology; encourages positivity and a close relationship with God📚

We aren't Catholic, but found no objection with our beliefs as Protestants engaging with this devotional. I loved this for both my tween and teen, and am so thankful there are resources out there to help them navigate these tricky years. Thanks for sending a review copy our way, Zondervan--we loved it!!

One of the best devotional I have read. It comes from a biblical Christian/Catholic perspective. It’s real and honest and encouraging. Thank you Caroline! 🙏🏻
