Back in high school, Johnny Cunningham had a secret crush on quarterback Zach Carpenter. Because of fear and anxiety, he didn’t do anything about it. A chance meeting after high school brings their paths together again, and sparks fly.

Zach Carpenter was born into the richest family in town, but since tenth grade, he has been attracted to Johnny Cunningham and wasn’t sure if Johnny liked him too. When they meet again after high school, Zach cannot deny his strong attraction to Johnny and pursues him, even though Johnny is a Townie and dirt poor and Zach’s parents have already determined Zach’s path in life.

When Johnny discovers Zach suffers from bipolar disorder and his parents have other plans for Zach that don’t include Johnny, can they overcome these obstacles and make their love last forever?

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Reading Johnny and Zach was a moving story, both of the parental figures just wanted what they hoped or thought best for their children but was denial of what is right in front of them the best way to handle it, just because they came from different backgrounds shouldn't matter.  Both boys have their own demons to control,  not just the fact that Johnny and Zach come from different worlds. Is that really a good fit to be together or will it help them overcome the struggles of their lives.
News of Brendan moving on with his life was a shock learning the secret boyfriend Colton has also had him thinking of moving,  dang icing on the cake was  like Surprise  here's Zach. Wow Happy Birthday! Johnny has his chance to confront Zach about the rumors in school before graduating, it all started over a sketch. Was Colton right? Was he just overanalyze..Thinking to much. Okay it was super cute and a wee bit stalkerish the way Zach gets Johnny talk with him after the whole apology debacle!
Poor momma, Sharo wasn't taking losing two of her boys to adulthood very well so close together, but how about all three boys growing up.

3.8 stars A okay start as the twins say goodbye to their older brother of to being a Lawyer hopefully.
The twins soon find a key and a number buried and wonder what's its for.
This has multiple family povs into the story telling.
Johnny's family life was changing dramatically which leaves him wondering about love and life.
The story centres around the key and Johnny 19 years finding love but he also finds much more.
Well written with the book having lots happening to keep reading. Characters have health issues in this that also adds to the story. OCD, Bipolar, anxieties.
A good story to read for a mystery romance.

I particularly enjoyed the way the author took what could have been a typical sports romance, moved it past the high school period and then incorporated class divisions into the story. Also, while familial expectations play a role in the plot, the family members are not all depicted as one-dimensional, evil characters.

Townies was an enjoyable read that was easy to read, had great characters and plot. The social divide between the characters gives more interest to the story and reality. There is steamy chemistry and some drama to add to the interest.

This was a sweet opposites attract romance.

I absolutely loved the chemistry and the dynamics between the characters.

The storyline was engaging and the plot was well executed.

This is a new to me author and I quite liked their writing style.

Definitely recommend this
