Even as she pursued degrees in Textile Technology, Organizational Leadership and finally, Adult Education, Rhonda McKnight’s love for books and desire to write stories was always in the back of her mind and in the forefront of her heart. Rhonda loves reading and writing stories that touch the heart of women through complex plots and interesting characters in crisis. She writes from the comfort of her South Carolina home with black tea, potato chips and chocolate on hand. At her feet sits a snappy mixed breed dog. I enjoyed this book. I'm happy that Pastor Rory received what he wanted. Pastor was a good man with a great heart. He did not allow his wealth to consume him. Pastor was a people person.
I absolutely love Rory. I love how is character is written. Though he is a Pastor, I appreciate that his human nature is in pure form is displayed. I likes him. Robin, is my girl. I love her background as it is transparent and life like. I just love this and excited to dive into the next. Yum!
Rhonda McKnight has cultivated even more fans with her Bennett Family Series. Readers will find a few familiar, intriguing things in each of the books. The Bennett men are rich, ridiculously handsome and have that one woman they desperately want. Beyond that, the author craftily creates unique Bennett men with their own aspirations, business acumen, temperaments and conflicts. In “All The Pastor Wants,” Rory Bennett is the camel that can go through the eye of a needle. Even with all his wealth, he is upright, compassionate and highly respected.
Robin Pendleton, owner of Sweet Delights Bakery, knew Rory Bennett as a school friend before she moved away. He’s elated she’s back. Her desserts are mouthwatering, but Rory’s appetite and patronage are more personal. It’s amusing to watch two adults flirt like nervous teenagers. While Rory’s preaching compels others to give their lives to Christ, he’s still a man; a man who wants Robin to give them a chance. Robin blackmails herself with secrets and half-truths. Feeling unworthy, she backpedals on her attraction. The author draws us smoothly into an evolving stalemate with expectation. “All The Pastor Wants” is truly a delightful love story.
Ms. McKnight does it again! Rory is a pastor with a huge heart for God and serving others. He’s also a member of the Bennett family known for their wealth. Rory wants God to bless him with love to heal his loneliness, but he’s still patiently waiting. Robin is a creative and talented Pastry Chef and bakery owner for the town who needs more than the eye can tell—love, forgiveness, peace, and a miracle. But, Robin battles with feeling unworthy and forgiving her past.
This novel tells a story of how everyone, regardless of social class or the state of their finances, has needs from God and must trust Him. I loved the fullness of this story line, the eloquent way Ms. McKnight ministers to the heart within this love story, and how I could feel the warmth (and sometimes coldness) of her characters.
As always, her writing and lessons of God’s love will not disappoint you.
I finished this book in one day! It was so good. I really enjoyed how Rhonda developed the story of Rory and Robin. People often times see Pastors (including some Pastors) as being up on a pedestal. I loved how this story shows the humanness of Rory (he is so much more than just a Pastor) and the vulnerability of Robin. I also loved how the story showed how important family is, especially in times of trouble and/or for support. I hope there are many more books to come in the Bennett family series. I highly recommend this All The Pastor Wants and the other 5 books in the series as well!! Job well done Rhonda McKnight!!
I absolutely loved this book!! All the Pastor wanted was the woman he prayed for to see him as a man, acknowledge him as just Rory and find a way to care for him as much as he cared for her!! I was glad to see Rory remain steadfast in his pursuit of Robin and for Robin to finally realize who and what she was, pray about it and just Let God!!
This is an amazing book and series!! If you haven’t had the chance to read it, you should!! I promise that you will be glad you did!! Now, I’m headed to a Bennett Wedding!! Again and Again, Kudos, Rhonda!! 💜💜
All The Pastor Wants is a sweet romance. I loved Pastor Bennett and his beautiful way of relaying the word to his congregation. Robin, Aunt Dinah and Tania loving bond was characterized wonderfully. A villain was so unexpected but increased the story plot. If you want a story with a meaningful, loving, and hopeful outcome this romance is for you. Beautiful job Rhonda McKnight!
I really really enjoyed reading this book! So glad Pastor Rory got just what he wanted. I loved the way the sermons were incorporated into the book and showed how Pastors truly should have a heart for the people of God and All people! I was so glad that Robin forgave herself and opened up her heart to Love. I have read all the Bennett Family books and look 👀 forward to more. Keep up the Fantastic work Mrs.McKnight!❤️❤️👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I loved reading the story of Rory and Robin. I liked that as a pastor, he did not pass judgement when he learned of her past. He showed the love of Christ in his behavior. I also enjoyed his sermon, his take on the passage was inspiring. I'm learning to trust that Jesus will take care of me when I encounter my storm. Rhonda McKnight hit a home run with the Bennett Series.
I like Pastor Rory Bennett. Smart, rich, generous kind and sexy. An old school mate has captured his heart. She feels unworthy due to past secrets as a young woman. Doesn't feel her background could serve the Pastor and his church. But he's a determined man, and he wants what he wants. He spares no expense or his time to woo Robin Pendleton, the baker! His efforts were successful.
I enjoy reading about the "Bennett Family" and their love and devotion to God, people and family. This series is a testament for forgiveness. The author elevates my eagerness and anticipation with each book of hers that I read. I liked the "Jordan Family" but, I anticipate reading this series.
Whoever wrote or inspired th Christmas sermon, it was pleasantly inspiring.
Robin annoyed me a few times until I found out her reason for the things she did. I loved Rory from the beginning. They both have a close family bond which is always a good thing. Vivian was a bitter woman. I'm never disappointed by this author and I'm sure you won't be either!
I honestly don't have words to describe how much I enjoyed this book. The sermon is one that I'll cherish. The characters were amazing and believable (even though they're uber rich lol) sometimes you read these stories, and you say... okay, that was typical... not so in this heartwarming story of love and forgiveness .
After waiting for this book, being totally disappointed with the book All the cowboy wants, and now this story was going very good but then the eding came out of nowhere. Cliff hangers are not something I like and this was not even a cliff hanger it just ENDED :( Just my opinon
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Rory and Robin are a good match. Rory was attracted to Robin, but was unsure of his approach and Robin didn’t feel she was good enough for a man of Rory’s stature and wealth. This was a sweet courtship.
This was another great ready by Rhonda McKnight. She just have a way of connecting you with the characters and makes you feel like you know them personally or you can feel what the character is feeling. I have enjoyed this series and look forward to reading more books by her.
I felt bad that the Pastor had to work so hard to get what he wanted. I’m glad he trusted God & believed it was possible. He wanted companionship & the person he pursued wanted to do things herself. Thankfully the Pastor was persistent. I enjoyed the story.
I absolutely love these Bennett men!!! Rory Bennett, a pastor, is a widower and he's developed a sweet tooth for Robin's pastries and Robin. What he does to win her, won me, for sure! I also like that all the Bennett men and their women are in this story. Rhonda, where are these men?????
Every thing Robin needed or wanted was there, because of her past, and not being able to forgive herself. The flip side Rory Bennett a man of God had enough forgiveness for them both.
I love the pure love & admiration between the main characters. Even when the past regret does not allow for full forgiveness once one has made major life changes & improvements let you know you are now worthy of a second chance.
We all deserve love at least once in our lives. We also deserve to allow love a chance to forgive and love ourselves. Very good story line. Realistic easy to love /dislike characters.....
I have read 4 of the 6 Bennett Family books and this one is simply the sweetest of the bunch. Not steamy but pure innocent love! Yet again a great story with characters you can relate to!
Really enjoyed the small suspense of getting to know the characters and wondering if they would ever connect. My heart beat a little faster as the holiday season approached and they united.
Rory and Robin were meant to be. Even though Robin fought hard against it. She didn't think she was worthy because of her past to be with a pastor. But with patience and persistence Rory won her over.
Rory may be a pastor, but he made me swoon. He didn't give up pursuing Robin no matter how many times she put up blockers. Another great installment in this series.
Very good read, I enjoyed the story each and every character. The Bennett family was very good reads. You laugh and you cry along. I would recommend the series.
