Australian Colonial Paintings in the Australian National Gallery

Rate this book
The first of several volumes to be published in association with the Australian National Gallery, this book offers a comprehensive analysis of Australian painting from the 1820s to the mid-1880s. Bonyhady's rigorous analysis of the individual works, supported by a wealth of biographical and
historical detail, recreates the lively and influential artistic climate that prevailed during the first hundred years of colonial settlement.
