The Glass Between Us is a timely wakeup call and a great read. Every paragraph resonates deeply with the modern reader, and calls us to deeper, more meaningful relationships. Could not recommend this more to anyone who is interested in technology and relationships.

This book draws you in into the world of Teens and Twens to see what drives them and how they feel about their experiences. It is easy to read and once started reading you are hooked on what else there is to know. A really eye opening book when you yourself grew up without the existance of smartphones. Also this book gives advice on how to interact with our youth and help them navigate through media. These advices always relate to "RUMB" - Relationship (build meaningful relationships where acceptance and open communication becomes possible) Understanding (uncover their "why" so you can relate to their media habits and shame gets removed) Mentorship (help youth identify their values that drive their choices) Boundaries. Inspiering questions, ideas and challenges through out every chapter help you to help your teens navigate through different media challenges.
I highly recommend this book to all parents and professionals working with youth.

As a mum and as a teacher I warmly recommend you this brand-new book.
A few weeks ago at medical care the doctor's assistant told me: “Enjoy your baby boys while they are young – it’s difficult to have boys in a world like ours.” – “What do you mean?” I asked – “Social media” she told me with an ache in her eyes “My youngest got lost – not able to study or do anything else, but all time fixed in computer stuff. I lost the fight.”
I don’t want to lose it. That’s why I’m so glad about “The glass between us”! Based on theory and full of practical experience this book points out how to win the heart of your boy or girl. To quote from the book:
"The greatest tool we have at our disposal for guiding teens towards healthy media choices is the relationship we have with them."
It's worth the effort!
