Synopsis
Miracle Williams is the definition of a conservative, shy, BBW. She hides behind her best friend, Shaina’s, shadow and while most people would care she actually prefers it that way because too much attention literally makes her skin crawl.
After the two people she loves most betrays her in the worst way, she finds herself at an all time low questioning herself and the others around her more than ever. That is until the handsome, smooth, neighborhood dope boy from the other side of the tracks takes notice of her. Then all bets are off.
Growing up in the slums, Cortez Santiago had it harder than most boys his age. After the heinous death of mother, all he had left was his baby sister Claudiana. The streets were literally all he ever knew. He never thought the day would come when he puts everything he hustled hard for on the line in the name of “love” however, that’s exactly what happens when him and the thick, hazel eyed beauty known as Miracle, cross paths. And the biggest conflict yet—she’s his plugs daughter.
When family drama threatens to tear them apart, Miracle and Cortez have to decide whether to stay Ten Toes Down for each other or to let their new union go. It isn’t long before Miracle realizes she may have bitten off way more than she can chew, but it’s hard walking away from the dope boy your heart belongs to.

Miracle and Cortez
Too short for me and what I am used to from this author but it took nothing away from how good this was. I love the hood stories for real, it just makes me think of my own life. I loved that Cortez loved Miracle through her heartbreak. But also him through his. They both went through some horrible things but came out polished. The funny parts definitely were a added bonus as well as the drama with Foot. The secrets ruined some relationships but made others stronger. I have a small ounce of sympathy for Don but it's only in the way his relationship with Miracle suffered because he was a jacka**. Really good book

Really enjoyed this book.
Cortez was my man. He and Miracle were made for each other. Miracle was shy, her self esteem was low, she lacked confidence but after meeting Cortez she began to open up. He told her how beautiful she was and she started believing it. Her ex boyfriend and best friend dogged her out and really took advantage of her. Don was crazy and we found out about him near he end. He had secrets.. The couple that cracked me up was Peaches and Foot. They were hilarious. This was a good novella but could have been longer.

I def need some more of these characters Karma… how u going to give me something good and it’s no more! I loved miracle and cortes so muchhhhh.! I’m so glad she beat shaina trifling behind i swear i wanted her to keep going! I know DON crazy self should have gotten killed with everything he put people through than taking his own life but i loved it over all! You never disappoint me

My fave♥️
This is my favorite of the “My Heart Belongs to a Dope Boy” books by various authors. What’s not to love. Foot and Peaches were hilarious and the significance of his names makes it even more funny. Miracle had such a sweet soul and she knew when to boss up and stop taking bull. I am glad her ex got to see her shine with her upgrade! Cortez and Santana were Bae! My only wish is that I hear more from them in the future even though it’s a standalone!

This was by far the best if this whole series….too short though!!!
I LOVED it!!!! It was so refreshing but too short. Everyone in this series had a novel, but this author decided to do a novella when clearly she was the best out of everyone.
Miracle was so cute, wholesome and genuine while Cortez was just the bomb bae. Destiny and Santana seem to be the best while Don was just a sorry miserable person, as well as Darius and Shaina.

You did that with this book it was everything from the beginning to the end. I didn’t want it to end. I loved it. I was so loved Miracle and Cortez together. I couldn’t believe that the stepfather really killed him self though. He was something else though. I can’t wait to see what you have coming next.

What ever happened to her "best friend" and "boyfriend"? All I know is every time I see that bish I would drag her. I know exactly how Miracle feels. It hurts to know that you were the only friend in that long term relationship. Been there done that too. Only difference is our one-sided relationship was 30+ years. Then she had to deal with her dad. Whew Child!!!!

Don was an sorry excuse for a man after everything he done karma came back and took a bite out of crime. Destiny was wrong she could of been told Don the truth. Cortez was just the right guy for Miracle. He reminded her just because you are a BBW doesn't mean your aren't beautiful.

Cortez is everything I loved his cool demeanor and how much he rocked with Miracle. Don was a nut case seriously glad he did everyone that favor. Sidenote: could you please do a book about peaches and foot. They are hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Anytime I get an opportunity to read a book from Karma Monae I’m always excited. Miracle definitely found a real one and I’m here for it. I can’t believe how things turned out and my jaw definitely hit the floor with that ending. 🔥❤️

This was good! I like that Cortez made Miracle she how beautiful she really was a build her confidence up. I didn't like the Don was so bent about getting rid of Cortez that he didn't care about Miracle getting shot.

I love this author
I loved Tez and Miracle as a couple. This book felt so rushed. This is one of my favorite authors so I feel disappointed. This story could have been so much better. Can't wait to see what she has up next.
