This c.21k word Gamelit Scifi Novella includes adult activities and unconventional relationships.
This is a hard book to read because all narrative takes place in the guys mind. And his thoughts are muddled, incomplete and just odd. Nothing comes through but what he thinks, says, or hears. Lots of small sentences that are just quick thoughts, like "Smells bad," or how about "Fast." That's it nothing else. It's written how someone would speed read.
"Foul smell. Ram the torch at it. In it. Jam it between jaws. Hot, dirty slobber on my arm. Stamp my foot onto slithering, sinewy muscle. It roars and spits. Stinks. But the torch is wedged in its gaping mouth. Tail thrashes."
Ok, we go on a vacation. Ex girlfriend and current boyfriend show up, uncomfortable. The next day people are missing and a digital screen is in our visions. We look for food, get attacked, have sex with another vacationer, and the book ends.
It is my hope that the following books in this series clears up some of the questions that I have thought about so far. For the most part the characters are realistic as is the settings.
Looking for something quick to read and chanced across this series. The stories are not very long and I just finished all nine of them. The ninth book is a finale of sorts. A few editing errors here and there but not bad.
