One Kind Walk

Rate this book
Invincible. It was one thing to say that word. It was another thing entirely to actually feel it.

Landon Henley is content to do his radio show from his basement despite his family’s attempts to get him to leave his home and rejoin society. Face-to-face encounters are too risky. They might lead to meeting people. To possibly falling in love with people. To potentially losing people in horrible accidents caused by irresponsible drivers. He wouldn’t survive that. Not a second time. Landon’s best option is to hide away and limit his contact with the outside world.

That includes getting rid of a puppy who has decided Landon’s backyard is a great place to call her own. A dog is the last thing he needs. Dogs need walks, and he definitely doesn’t do walks. When this pupper crashes Aliza Danahy’s outdoor yoga class, however, the dog won’t be the only one panting. But Aliza isn’t ready to trust another man. Not after divorcing her drug lord of a husband and moving back to Vermont. Her heart has taken a beating, and she’s got the nightmares to prove it.

Is one kind walk enough to bring broken hearts back to life?

One Kind Walk is a starting-over, small-town, contemporary romance that features a heroine returning to her hometown after divorce and a hermit hero hiding from the world.

Christine DePetrillo can often be found hugging trees, conversing with dragonflies, and walking barefoot through sun-warmed soil. She finds joy in listening to the wind, bathing in moonlight, and breathing in the fragrances of things that bloom. If she had her way, the sky would be the only roof over her head.

Her love of nature seeps into every story she tells. As does her obsession with bearded mountain men who build, often smell like sawdust, and know how to cherish the women they love. Today she writes tales meant to make you laugh, maybe make you sweat, and definitely make you believe in the power of love.

She lives in Vermont with her husband and cat who defend her fiercely from all evils.

One great book!

I absolutely love this series and this was a great addition! Two wounded hearts brought together by an adorable dog? Yes please! Landon is such a great hero, gruff, grumpy, a loner, he shines on the radio but clams up in person. Once he meets Aliza, all that changes. Their HEA was hard won but so worth it!

Definitely a must read!
