Is Van Goat in his "blue period" or is he just sad? And if he's happy or excited, how can one tell? Delightful illustrations and an engaging narrative featuring Van Goat and his friends teach children from 18 months and up the concept of emotions and help them understand how to identify and express their feelings. Each spread in this interactive Spanish-language story introduces children to a different emotion and features a mylar panel that invites them to see what they look like when they are happy, sad, or excited.
This book teaches children about different emotions - happiness, anger, pride, sadness, etc. It will make a wonderful addition to your infant's book collection and will teach him/her about his/her feelings.
Aigner-Clark (2004) tells about different emotions a person can have when different things happen to you. I would use this in my classroom. It would help me teach my students to how to feel different emotions and to let them know it is ok to feel happy, sad, and angry at times.
