Friends and Lovers #3

Sweet Sweet Revenge

Clancy Deveril’s life was not messy. She never allowed it to be. She simply moved on. It was what she did and it always worked. So why wasn’t she doing that now?
Perhaps because this time it wasn’t just about her. It involved her family, particularly her much younger sister. And, as Clancy saw it, she knew where to lay the blame. The entitled Hunter family. Specifically, Abigail Hunter.
So with revenge in mind Clancy drew closer to Abigail Hunter’s flame, but too late she realised she could get badly burned.
Abby Hunter had her life in order. After her divorce she returned to her home town and made a satisfying life with her young daughter. She had a high-profile job, was happily single, and hadn’t had the time or inclination to change that status. Quite frankly, romance had never been on her agenda.
So how could a chance meeting suddenly jolt her ordered, well-balanced life completely off its comfortable centre? She knew she had to get herself back onto firm ground, but was she sure she wanted to?
Revisit the characters and location of the FRIENDS AND LOVERS series in the stand-alone SWEET SWEET REVENGE.

Best boo in the series so far. Good chemistry and banter. Also a plot of revenge that was interesting. And the audio with Cat Gould was very good.

Lyn Denison has been a pioneer of the lesbian book since 1990, when she released her first book.
She has written over twenty books formerly published by Bella Books. The 90s were not yet very open to lesbianism. but since that date she has been able to write lesbian romances with sexual relations.
Many lesbian books today would not be published if some authors had not taken the lead. Read,The Wild One, Gold Fever, among others.
Read her books and see the modernity of what she wrote.

Another slow-burn. This is probably my favorite of the first three of the F&L series. The revenge element added an extra layer to the romance. I'm a big fan of the ancillary characters--especially Max, but the sisters (Grace and Di) were great, too. I'm not sure the author intended this, but her secondary MCs (Carolyn and Abby) are intriguing, easy-to-be-drawn-to characters.

A “Friends & Lovers” Family Of Strength!

This third book in the “Friends & Lovers” series is another winner. There are some things I wanted settled in this story but knowing Lyn Dennison’s character appears in other stories keeps me hopeful. The coming together to help a family member brings Clancy and her younger sister Nikki to live with their older sister Del, who we already love. The interaction between some of the main characters and the “Friends & Lovers” gang and their family made this Book 3 a special one. On to the next story.

Loved the characters, tropes, plot and level of spice. It's wonderful when an author can suck you into their realm and make you actually feel what the characters are experiencing! No spoiler alert, but I love, love, love a HEA!
