About the Author & Illustrator
Rebecca Bryant is an elementary school teacher who never quite grew out of her bookworm days. She spends her free time playing with her son, husband, and the subject of the book herself, Pepper. For the last three years since discovering her chronic illness, she has jumped in to learning everything she can about what it means to be disabled and how she can help improve the future for coming generations.

Jonah Leahy is a freelance Illustrator and Concept Artist. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Development from the Academy of Art University in 2021. Currently living in Portland, Oregon, he wants to help diversify our media by advocating for inclusive character design, environments, and prop design. As a transgender man, he hopes to continue the conversation about gender equality, and provide an opportunity for consumers to see themselves in movies, games, or shows and open up a route for them to feel accepted and celebrated by the world around them, no matter who they are.
