From 2012 until now, throughout a breakup, divorce, being a single mother, a full-time job and a hideous family court experience, A.L. Berggren started to write a fictional story - The Secret of the Crying Minds. However, it wasn't until June 2020, during Corona lockdown and after being abruptly furloughed, that she finally challenged herself to become a published writer. At this stage, the story had developed into a series of five books. The second book: The Hunt of the Crying Minds, followed already in December 2020 and the third book: The Battle of the Crying Minds, will be published in autumn 2021.

Injustice, entitlement, and abuse make her blood boil which inspires significant parts of her darker writing.
A.L Berggren strongly believes in doing good now and that every little help to make a positive change. Therefore, she donates 15% of all book profits to selected charities close to her heart. Currently, she works exclusively with the charity Do Good Now to support them in their phenomenal work against modern slavery and building a safe house and education centre in Nepal for trafficked victims.

" The Battle of the Crying Minds " by A.L. Berggren is a wonderful treat for Psychological crime thriller book lovers. It's thoroughly a character-driven book and extremely well-written.
This is the third installment of the series. I read the first two-part a few months ago and still remember the story. When I learned its third part is out I couldn't keep my hands out of it.
This part of the series begins where all departments of the United Kingdom have caused turmoil due to a wide-scale abduction case. And now allied police forces have no choice but to seek help from MI5. Roze, who is now 24, has just joined her new office in MI5, with her artificially increased mind-reading powers and EQ capabilities. And she has to be part of a dangerous game, Hydra who is now fully preparing to conspire creepily even before. His new heads spread like vermin across the globe as his computer game PoRuc recruits and enlightens more followers. The major twist comes with David, who is being dragged into Hydra's manipulative computer game on the dark web against his will. The higher David ranks in the game, the more he's endangering Roze. And with that, the story in this part just got even more thrilling and interesting.
The character is portrayed well. Roze is my favorite female character in the series. I came to like even the villain, hydra. His character is challenging. The world-building is mind-blowing. The plot is terrific and fast-paced. The twists gave me goosebumps. The author brilliantly managed to create a fictional world through real-life horrors such as slavery and abuse, the potential dangers and possibilities around artificial intelligence and bioscience, as well as the extreme power of addictive computer games and virtual reality.
I enjoy psychological crime thrillers, you must give this book a shot.

As usual the story revolves around the protagonist Roze, a young woman with extreme emotional intelligence and mind reading skills. As she enters into her new office at MIS, she is immediately appointed to crack the most powerful minds.

The cover of the book is aptly designed and the title of the book is totally relevant. The plot of the story is interesting, engaging and horrrifc. It is a perfect blend of crime, thrill, AI, psychology and bioscience with lots of twist and turns. The author has very well narrated all the fictional story by adding real life incidents such as addiction of computer games, abuse, slavery, artificial intelligence etc.
Language used is simple and lucid. Characters are well developed and described by the author. All the characters have their own importance whether protagonist or antagonist. The flow of the book is fast paced. The only con of the book is that it is too much lengthy.
Overall, an interesting thriller.

This is the third book of the Crying Minds series.
I have been waiting for this book so eagerly and it really met all my expectations.
I absolutely loved this book just like the other two books.
For those who didn't read the first two books-
The protagonist of the book is Roze who is a young woman with extreme emotional intelligence and mind-reading skills due to an illegal human AI experiment.
Roze is now 24 and she recently got posted into her new office at MI5.
She is immediately thrown into a world of interrogation and profiling to crack the most complicated and powerful criminal minds until a familiar MO requires Roze’s full attention. There is one person who can be behind this evil situation, and only Roze knows who the person is.
The person is none other than Hydra.
He is successfully spreading his computer game PoRuc worldwide. And for his next step he is in search for healthy , confident blonds to fill up his research chambers .
What will happen next? Will Hydra succeed with his evil plans? Will Roze be able to conquer this battle over Hydra ?

The construction of story is flawless without over dramatization or overstretching. The prose is effective and powerful to hold attention.

I have always managed to dodge a bullet of reading a psychological thriller book but here I am with the 3rd book of the trilogy Crying Minds.
As much i want to say i hated it but color me surprised
It was a PAGE TURNER.
What happens when the lines between the right and wrong blurs and a psychotic geniune Hydra back with his evil game Poruc and he is even stronger than ever manipulating, plotting and killing others. When Roze uncovers the clues and links it to this evil mastermind she knew it going to a one hell of a path to catch Hydra. Who will survive this ultimate battle?
A.L Berggren weaves a bone chilling physiological thriller that's creeptastic!
As characters Roze, David and even Hydra find themselves embroiled in mayhem, what follows is a gripping narrative. The writing flowed neatly creating a veil of suspense and dread. I was so invested in the book it was scary, chaotic and eerily good.I got a whiplash with dark plot twists.I thought I knew where the twists would lead and then BOOM! Nearly all the chapters kept me on the edge, as the story unwinds, it also unmasks the evilness of Hydra and his plans of even greater crimes on a much broader level. I loved Roze from the first books, but her determination, strength shines through the pages and i rooted for her her character as MC has evolved into something magnificent. And this trilogy at the end was brimming with drama, disparate elements, terrifying discovery, the stakes are even higher. Honestly I never saw the end coming. Absolutely Perfect for a unforgettable Trilogy!
Read this to unravel an eerily twisted thriller and Don't forget to breathe as you frantically turn each page.

I have read, reviewed and immensely liked the prequel to The Battle of Crying Minds, The Hunt of the Crying Minds, some time ago. When I got to know that the third book in the series was published I got a copy for myself and began reading, and let me tell you this did not disappoint. It is a fitting sequel and has me looking forward to the upcoming parts of the series.
The Battle of the Crying Minds, just like The Hunt, is a fast paced novel and delves into themes of violence, slavery and crime to conjure the dark universe that is flourishing under Hydra's psychological manipulation. While a large scale kidnapping set up has scared the whole UK and no leads have across the investigating departments the number of victims is increasing as time passes and so is the horrifying count of dead bodies. The police resorts to teaming up with the MI5 to make a head or tail of the situation.
At MI5 headquarters we see a new recruit join the ranks. Roze, a twenty-four-year-old with her artificially honed photographic memory, mind reading abilities is assigned the interrogation and profiling of some high profile criminal cases. One thing leads to another and Roze finds herself unravelling the conundrum of the kidnapping case; and she knows who's pulling the strings of this monstrous operation.

I haven't read sci-fi thrillers for a long time, so this series is a lot of fun for me. I have spent the last 24 hours devouring the ending of this book. I have an immediate book hangover and have not yet collected all my thoughts on this book.

The story is very beautifully written in this series. The author has brilliantly portrayed all the incidents and characters. The way all chcharactersare redeveloped is amazing, especially the character of the antagonist Hydra.
I implore you to read and experience this complex pentalogy series for yourself.

I haven't read sci-fi thrillers for a long time, so this series is a lot of fun for me. I have spent the last 24 hours devouring the ending of this book. I have an immediate book hangover and have not yet collected all my thoughts on this book.

The story is very beautifully written in this series. The author has brilliantly portrayed all the incidents and characters. The way all chcharactersare redeveloped is amazing, especially the character of the antagonist Hydra.
I implore you to read and experience this complex pentalogy series for yourself.

And here comes the third copy of the "Crying Minds" pentalogy and when I heard that the trilogy will turn into pentalogy,my heart and consciousness crashed furiously with contrasting emotions,because I was eagerly hoping to find out it all ends but at the same I was going to miss out on the thrill and suspence.
As always the cover deserves the appreciation just like the previous reads where it makes it spooky and conspicuous,
The hunt was finally coming to an end and both the sides will be trading blows in the near future,where Roze,our exceptional cyborg MC(that's what I call her!)with her cool superpowers is getting deeper and deeper into the Hydra's territory.
At the same Hydra's game was gaining new followers day after another,with brute enslavement and cruel research on innocent girls, the time is running out.....what will Roze do?
Will she fail...for the first time?....
What do I even say,with each book the author is making it that much thrilling and eventful, and every arc is a masterpiece of its own,it is surely one of the best psychological thriller i've came across and mixing it with technology and stuff ahhhhh,cheery on the top...

The crystal characterization made the book more visualizing while reading and all the characters are well enough justified along with their respective roles. The storyline is catchy and the plot revolves around the battle between Roze and Hydra.
The author succeeded in making the story even more twisted but entertaining with every next book in the series. Currently 24 years old and is trying to fail Hydra's intentions while Hydra continuously working to increase the levels of its dark web, addictive action games after the success of the computer game PoRuc.
This is a phenomenal and extraordinary masterpiece penned by the author. Loved how the author enacts the story with a mysterious and thrilling element. This was a unique sci-fi that I went through. " The Battle of the Crying Minds " is the third book of the Series. I bought this book last week and finished reading it yesterday. So turns in the story and so many plot twists! I must say, it's a wonderful continuation of this series " The Crying Minds".
GUYS !!!!! Drop whatever you are reading and go read this series !! I mean seriously, go! As someone that reads thrillers all the time, it takes a lot to impress me but this book had it all :
•edge of your seat action
• the technology and science used in the story •plot twists and craziness throughout thinking you know where things are going but realizing you have no clue
• interesting characters and engaging scenes.
But for real - if you choose to read this psychological thriller series this fall, let this be it. I'm not gonna go into much more detail because I think it's best to go in blind.

The Secret of the Crying Minds and the second book: The Hunt of the Crying Minds.
Both the books Hooked me up till the end and this one has an captivating plot like earlier books...
The characters are completely Engaging and there are many characters and all of them had played their part amazingly.
Main protagonist is roze, hydra and David all are interconnected to each other.
David is getting dragged in deeper against his own will into Hydra’s manipulating computer game on the dark web. The higher David is climbing the ranks in the game, the more he puts Roze in danger.
Overall an crime based thriller and author had woven the story with lots of turns. I found this series well intresting like others. Language and narration is advanced.

The Battle of the Crying Minds blows the prior two books out of the water, and I believe it will be more difficult to replace this one as my favourite in the series. What an adventurous journey so far!
Roze is back and more determined than ever to fight Hydra's wickedness and his nefarious plans to conduct even worse crimes. She sparkles through the pages and has developed into a magnificent character.
Everything is well written as always, and it's tough to put down the book until it's finished. Events are progressing smoothly towards encountering Hydra, a game producing psychopath, while keeping the reader unaware of how seemingly unrelated narrative strands will come to unravel at the end.

I am curiously intrigued to read the 1st and the 2nd book of this pentalogy. This book is the 3rd among the Crying Minds Pentalogy.
Author A L Berggren has penned down an aboslute entertaining and technology advanced storlyine which has glimpse of real life of today's young generation, their choices and tehnology dependant public around the world. Though technology has its own importance and benefits at the same time it is highly addictive and manipulating.
The story mentions about dark web, addictie action games. AR , VR (Augmented reality & Virtual Reality) and AI (Artificial Intelligence). I will not mention anything about the story as I think it diminishes the author's hard sweated effort to mermserize his/her audience with his her writing skills.
The story has lead protagonist Roze who is a 24 year old persona with extreme emotional intelligence, Mind reading powers and EQ abiities who works in MI5. She is being tasked to solve on of the Londons heinous crime series involving game addiction, artificial intelligence and brainwashed young psycopath gamers.
