Kleine Helden in Not: Jungen auf der Suche nach Männlichkeit

Rate this book
It took a bit of getting used to, but in the end I enjoyed this book.
The book presents a socially scientific analysis of what it is like to be a boy and grow into a man. It discusses problems and challenges in childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
The first third of the book irritated me a lot. I felt it was only justifying a male existence as an opposite to a female existence. Some may say that was constructed in my own mind and has more to do with my own insecurities and current life situation than anything in the book, I can't say for sure.
The later two thirds of the book were great. Insightful, fascinating and motivating to pursue ways to be a better male role model.
