Not All Ticket: From Withernsea High to Boothferry Park Halt

by Richard Lusmore

Not All-Ticket follows the rollercoaster ride of Hull City AFC in the 1980s, from receivership to redemption. First-hand terrace tales and musical memories combine to form an uplifting coming-of-age story. Told with heartfelt affection, it recounts an unforgettable chapter in the story of an unfashionable club from an often unloved city.

A gem of a book. A coming-of-age memoir that runs parallel to a tumultuous period in the history of the football, music, rugby, cricket, and speedway (but primarily football) of my adopted hometown in the years before I got here. Interesting, amusing, and thought-provoking.

I was at plenty of these games. A vibrant account with a few folk I know. Hope there is a volume 2 about Easington United!!! The only place where my name was in a match programme team list .
