Kelly Guest's Saintly Moms is a terrific sampler of Catholic moms who are saints or on the road to sainthood. With a good mix of familiar and unfamiliar women, there is sure to be someone - or two or more - every mom can identify with.

I learned more about saints with whom I was already acquainted and was introduced to saints I'd never heard of before. The stories and accompanying prayers are short, sized just right for busy moms, and can work as a springboard to learn more about particular holy women.

I'm grateful for another book that demonstrates that saints were sinners too and lived both ordinary and extraordinary lives, facing familiar challenges.

In her down-to-earth way, Kelly recounts the story of 25 fascinating women who have earned their way into sainthood. Yet, this book isn’t just about their lives, it’s about ours too, and how each of these saintly women are standing at the ready to assist us through our own ups and downs.

The vocation of motherhood can be incredibly challenging. But when we lean into the wisdom and inspiration of these mommy saints, we become equipped to walk this path with grace.

I really liked the format of this book, including some information on the life of the saint, application to all moms, and a brief prayer. Could easily be digested one saint a day in just a few minutes. I also enjoyed the compilation of saints - some common ones that I already knew and some new ones I hadn't been introduced to before. Even those that were more familiar, I appreciated the piece she picked out in use of applying it to the reader.

I learned more about Saints I already knew about and gained knowledge of Saints I hadn’t ever heard of. I recommend this book to ALL Catholic moms!!!!! Beautiful stories and prayers. I think I related to all 25 of them!! It was an easy ready, the reason it took me so long was I kept it in my purse and pulled it out ‘in times of need’.
