This book acts as a reminder to the values we know and should instill but often take for granted

It remains relevant when being read at any period of one’s life especially during trying times, with aging parents and a very necessary level of patience.

Its not exhaustive only to muslims despite its outlook. Everyone should read this at least once. And try to always go back to it just because

Many things in this book might not be new, but they are powerful reminder for us to serve our parents dutifully. In many occasions, kindness to parents are cited alongside jihad, which in itselt is already a heavy obligation to Muslims, indicating the huge responsibility children bear towards their parents. Being kind is called upon on kids to their parents, and not the other way around, signalling that parents would never be the same level as kids. As much as they are obliged with their own responsibilities towards children, it is a different context for kids to serve their parents with kindness.
