This is not one of those books you read from start to finish. Instead it is a reference and I have used it as such for a number of years.

I fell in love with an earlier edition of this book which I later misplaced somehow. The wealth of formulas here surpasses what I could ever hope to need and yet it's extremely portable and very conveniently organized. I mean just something as simple as the geometry formulas is way more detailed and useful than what I've seen anywhere else. Where else can I get the formula for the volume and surface area of a barrel shape? Yeah, I know you can derive anything once you have calculus, but c'mon books like this are awesome!

Great reference. Very to the point though, so if you are looking for this as a teaching reference, probably not the best. If you know the formulas, but just need a reminder/refresher on the forumlae or steps involved, this is a handy book to have. Plus, with it's size, easily fits into a small pocket on a backpack unlike some other heftier reference books.

This one's on the expensive side, but worth it. If you need a formula, it's in here.
