An excellent guide to keeping worms, caring and feeding them, and getting worn cast “black gold”, worm tea and leachate as fertiliser. I’ve learned much already and will be going back to this clear and helpful book.
I have, of course, torn up the cardboard envelope this came in and put it in the compost…

Not a great read

The book is not well written with lots of repetition. It also makes some pretty wild statements regarding the pros and cons of chemical vs. organic fertiliser. There is no citations accompanying these assertions. If anything, this book would put me off worm farming. Sorry

What I have learned about worm farms: worms need moisture but not too much. They need heat; but not too much. They need a mix of browns and greens; but not too much of one of the other. Most will eat their body weight in a day. I haven't decided if it's worth the organic fertilizer or not.

For complete beginners

Doesn't go further than bin set up. Won't even tell you the number of days it takes for eggs to hatch. Very basic you can find all this info online , not worth buying the book, not a reference manual

Lots of great and useful information! I did find it very repetitive and the format, layout and editing of the book to have been a bit unorganized.
I did learn a lot and will be implementing the information from this book.
