James Reasoner – Outlaw Ranger Volume 3 – Reviewed 1/6/22 – Read 12/11-12/21
Killers wipe out a Mexican village, taking all of the beautiful ones; Braddock finds and helps them.
A band of killers attack and kidnap the beautiful women as prisoners. They confiscated all the possible carts and horses, making the women lead them to their hideout. The only ones left in the village were the very young and old, killing all male inhabits. There was no help for them, but as they hovered together as Martin Larrizo sat his mount and watched. Seeing one beautiful woman, he pointed her out and told everyone that she was his; no one was to touch her.
Even though corrupt politicians took his authority, he still carried his badge in his pocket and mind moving him to find justice for the Lone Star State, wherever he found it. Braddock would have to contend with other things happening in the area. In Texas, a train was robbed, and American soldiers were killed, netting the robbers with a shipment of rifles. He would risk his life more than once to navigate the double-crosses and danger, and the story begins.

What did I like? You can picture this man, tall, handsome, and filled with the teachings of his Texas Ranger father. Knowing the corruption that took his life away from him but not giving in to the loss, he does his own thing in bringing justice under his precious badge, even if that badge does have a bullet hole right through the center of it.
What will you like? You cannot go wrong with the amount of action that Braddock can stir up when he is on the trail of desperadoes. He lets nothing stop him from what he seeks, not borders, badges, or killers. He sets his mind to the task and works to get it done. The storyline will keep you involved till the last page turns, and you will be ready for the next adventure that Braddock can stir up. James Reasoner is a master of bringing the west to us in a rip-roaring adventure that bends to using up all the midnight oil. Enjoyed this story very much and the inter action betweek our hero and "the girl." I was conflicted by the ending not giving any hint of resolution as to her future, but not disappointed that our hero didn't take her home for a wife. Sometimes a little mystery is good for the reader, even at the conclusion of a story.
