This book is geared toward syntax and therefore is extremely effective in detailing abstrusely esoteric material and breaking it down for the graduate student. I have had immense improvement in my grammar classes because this is set up for teaching subject specific classes such as Generative Grammar; Expository Writing; and even Technical Writing. All of these can be wrapped around a model using the text. My department enjoyed it immensely.
