Christina M. Eder swims around her metaphoric lily pad to cast more lines into literary waters. She and 12 teen/tween authors join her to create the fourth book in the FROG Blog Tiny Tales from Freshwater Adventures . In 300 words or less, each candid story invites readers to discover life through curiosity and uncanny (supernatural?) events. Anchors away as we set sail for another excursion!
One of the author’s many strengths is her willingness and talent in involving others to share their stories. “Tadpoles” gives us twelve interesting glimpses into the lives of youth. Whether it was the 13-year old who published her first book at the age of 10, the 11-year old whose fears were transformed into courage and strength, or the many others who illustrated great wisdom for their age, I commend each of them for sharing a part of their lives that enriched mine.
Speaking of enriching lives, once again Christina’s use of simple situations and beautiful word pictures, expressed profound ideas. If you are looking for a book that is easy to read, one that you can open to any page and find nuggets of wisdom and laughter, you will not be disappointed with “Tadpoles!”
This book provides a transparent view of the author's heart and mind, her thoughts and reactions, and how God can bring fresh perspective to any situation. I loved the words from the youth and so enjoyed their stories! A delightful read.
