This book is full of great promo ideas for markets and makes me realize just how behind Canada is (east coast anyway) on the local food movement. A lot has changed since 2001 but as a market manager, many of the problems remain the same. A book cannot teach one how to recruit new talent or effectively write a grant but it comes pretty close to bonafide experience. I would recommend the AMPQ to read this!

A nice practical guide to starting a farmers market but it is a bit idealistic and there are gaps in knowledge that would leave the strategic manager hanging. However, a good place to start
