Adopted by God is a meaningful, clear, and concise introduction to the theology of adoption. Using his own experience of adopting his son into his family, Priebe presents a compelling and moving vision of what the Gospel means for us as believers.

I really haven't thought a lot about the theology of adoption before reading this book. Priebe makes it hard to not see it everywhere you look throughout the New Testament. I appreciated how he argues for adoption being the question to "What are we saved for?" Providing a biblical framework for understanding our identity, our hope, and our responsibility in the family of God is deeply encouraging and reminds the reader why we call the gospel "good news." Priebe is a very good storyteller, and his illustrations help to make what could be stuffy theological concepts accessible and applicable. His chapter on recapturing the vision of the church as the family of God is worth the price of the book.

Highly recommended.
