Book 7 - Stars Awoken: ⭐⭐⭐ I'd rather follow any character other than MC tbh
Book 8 - Rebel Star: ⭐ Worst one yet... 🥱😴
Book 9 - Stars Asunder: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best one yet. MC's wits are not consistent. He switches from dumb brawn to scheming enlightenment at the author's whims. But this did make for a nice finale in this case. Previously I was questioning my choice to continue with the series but now I'm eager to pick up the sequel.
After many pages of John's movement through life after the dungeon world, John moves to an entirely new stage of life . This novel surprised me because what could have been many books was accomplished in just one. I look forward to learning about consequences.
The trouble just keeps getting bigger as we learn more about the politics of the system and the issues John faces and how everything changes so much. It could be worse, but when everyone is a possible enemy, it gives some good reading, although some more actual fighting would be nice.
The good thing about reading an omnibus is that the saves time between books, just download read 3 books in 1 great. The plot and characters are still interesting and I’m looking forward to the next book.
I am looking forward to the next book. This series has been written well. I like the character development and how the characters have changed. I am horrible at reviews but I did rate it a 5.
