I loved this series! Terran is a great character, interacts with all the others in the series so well. He's a great leader, tries to keep everyone happy. There are many battles in which he and his friends level not only themselves but their village of Gneiss Glen up. The story is easy to follow even if you aren't a gamer, which I'm not. He grows the village and learns to become a leader. A great series, all in all.

Wow this LitRPG series has been a real blast to read through and with book 6 we come to its end and boy what an amazingly thrilling and gut wrenching ending this is. Terran and his friends have been gearing up for the war with the Howling Wind however they now find out that The Trio, Terran’s nemesis have allied with their enemy and that Selune has become very powerful probably a demi-god like Terran if not something more. Terran tries to gain some allies and to fortify the Glen as much as possible making use of the black crystal which he acquired and to learn more about this he had to enter the final tomb and face the ghost of Fermanta, the Lady Bard who had split the continents in two. He managed to acquire the song of power which filled him with the anguish she felt and she begged him not to use this. However when Terran faced the armada of the Howling Wind he did make use of the Blackstar Crystalline Rod but for him using this powerful stone once was more than enough. Selune, Kratow and Roald had become very powerful so our group of warriors had to stay a step ahead of them but every time they found them already in place. The final battle is fought through all means possible, with everyone pitching in and using all the magical powers they had acquired but could Terran manage to rid their world of the evil Selune, and banish the invaders back across the sea where they belonged? Thomas Carpenter has managed to keep us all on edge till the end of the book, whilst giving us the ending we deserve and I am sure we were all clamoring for. Terran, Zara, Newt and Flynn our offworlders were a fantastic group to follow on their adventures whilst building the community of Gneiss Glenn around the Mother Tree, and I loved seeing them all develop and progress as they acquired more magical powers which they always used for the benefit of the community which they now called home.

LitRPG at its finest!
This is the sixth and final book of the series.
We have the fulfilment of the prophecy to contend with as the Howling Wind move ever closer to the glen.
Terran must chose wisely now and get ready for the final showdown with the Trio.
You won’t be able to put this book down.
With shocks, twists and turn Carpenter keeps you guessing right up until the end. This most certainly does not disappoint.
Read from the beginning of series for the best experience.

Alas, as all good things must do,
this series has now ended.
All that is left to say is ...
as with the first book and now,
sadly, the last ...
Enjoy !!
