Get in the Sales Game is a groundbreaking one-of-a-kind sales book that can help you close more business. It talks about tips and tricks in selling in the new sales environment. March 2020 was a pivotal moment of new change in the world of sales. With so many countries and states shut down by stay-at-home orders, our normal way of sales-life was rocked to its very core. Sales professionals who used face-to-face, handshake, ground game, and give-a-hug styles of selling had to power pivot to stay in the game.
I can see why Sue is named Sweet Sue! Her positive energy and sweet demeanour are evident in the writing of this book, which makes it a great little read as it fills you with positive energy and motivation for sales.
When I first started reading it, I was a little confused why she was telling me to go to the dentist and do a 30 day cleanse, but all of these tips really pieced together to create a truly confident person - inside and out. Sweet Sue helps you to become a beacon of light, full of positive energy. Confident in who you are. Confident in your health and wellbeing. And confident in your appearance. The key to any successful salesperson - confidence.
The book doesn't delve too deeply into tactics, subject lines, and closing statements - but that's not what it's all about. It's about getting *into* the sales game. This book prepares you, as an individual, to join the elite in sales and find success. There are plenty of books that you can buy giving you the latest buzzwords and winning statements to use in conversations, but this books fills in the gaps - the missing ingredient, you!
There was no waffle, yet I was able to learn a lot about Sue and her family on a personal level as I read. Chapters were short and snappy and it was a quick, yet wholly satisfying read. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to join the sales game, but also to anyone who just needs a little confidence boost and isn't sure where to start - this is it.
This book really was an eye opener not just for running a business, but for managing your personal finances and finally eliminate the stress of financial burdens. The one key component to rebuild your finances is the most overlooked and that is being financially fit.. At first I was confused when she explained cleanses, fear, and sexual health but, as I read on all of these can be applied to business and finance as well. Sweet Sue does an excellent job connecting topics that are unrelated and make them relatable. The section that hit me the most was titled Invest in Yourself. I have always had the idea that any focus on yourself was deemed selfish but, Sweet Sue says it's the exact opposite in finance and in life. That really warmer my heart and have me a boost of confidence to get my financial health and my overall health back on track. Also the story about Sylvester Stalone was an inspiration in itself and reminded me that I don't have to take no for an answer if it's something I am truly meant to do. I now feel like Wonder Woman after this book not only from a business mindset but for overall mental health too. Now I can't wait to see what my future has in store in applying sweet She's techniques applied in this book.
A life-changing encouragement. That is is why I give this book 5 stars.
Get In The Sales Game was an easy-to-read book filled with excellent ideas to improve your sales, and it’s the first book I’ve seen that addresses the problem of selling during the pandemic. I really enjoyed the Coronamama video on YouTube and found myself poking through others on the author’s channel as well. The section with success stories was interesting and informative, and the book as a whole is inspiring. If I had one complaint, it would be that it’s way too short, and I had to double-check that I didn’t accidentally jump ahead in my cloud reader. I recommend this book to anyone who is running a business during Covid.
I just finished reading this book and would highly recommend this book for anyone new to the sales field and/or someone who needs to reset their sales career. I have been in sales for over 40 years and still gained some invaluable recommendations from her. It has straightforward advice on how to get ahead in sales or even to bring some structure into your life. Several of the “out of the box” processes to sales success are great commonsense advice often ignored in other self-help books that can help you with your career and personal life. It’s short but sweet, like Sue!
