Confronting the past isn’t always easy, especially when you’ve made the biggest mistake of your life.
Lauren: Aisling and I were engaged to be married. I loved her, and I couldn’t imagine life without her by my side. But everything changed when I received a letter out of the blue telling me she was cheating on me.
I’d never had reason to doubt her, but it placed fears in my heart. Unfortunately, that was what the letter’s sender wanted.
It seemed the start of a story I’d heard too many times before, and I took some time away to consider our future together. By the time I returned a few days later, it was too late.
Aisling: Years have passed since I ended my relationship with Lauren, but now I've found out who sent the letter that destroyed our relationship. I find myself questioning whether I should contact her again. Is it too late to give her another chance?
Her social media accounts say she’s single, but I don’t know if there’s someone else in her life now or how she feels about me.
Even after years apart Lauren and Aisling still love each other. They had outside interference the first time around but now they have grown and want to try again. This is a short but sweet second chance romance with a HEA.
I gave the first three books a try, as second chance is my favourite trope, but the storytelling is so trite and the writing so monotone, that I could barely finish each book. I only gave it three tries due to the trope and to make sure my impression was statistically correct.
A very quick and easy story of a former engaged couple, Aisling and Lauren, who split up due to Aisling's terrible sister Aine's lies. Although the story Beloved leads them back together, I didn't find any closure on why Aine did what she did. The story didn't feel quite finished to me!
This plot is very good to read because of the angst and lost love. The only thing i didn't like was the narcisit talk, cause it's dangerous to call people that without medical comprovation.
