You never know when true love will find you... or when you'll sniff it out!
Lexy, a senior pitbull, escaped an abusive situation and finally found a loving home with her adoptive Momma. But even in her new family, something was missing... Until Lexy found her a stuffed toy shark named Bruce. Lexy and The Love Letters tells the story of how this unlikely duo forged a deep friendship that would last a lifetime.
These love letters showcase Lexy and Bruce's unique bond throughout Lexy's latter years. In each letter, we read about Lexy and Bruce supporting each other through "thick and fin," whether the next challenge is a scary trip to "The Washer," a surprise visit to the hospital, or a battle with cancer. We also witness the true transformative power of love through Lexy and Bruce's activism! Lexy, Bruce, and their Momma have travelled around North America to raise awareness about animal rescues and shark conservation. They have spoken at conferences, they have featured in books and calendars, and they are even social media sensations!
Now, for the first time, Lexy and Bruce's friendship is brought to life on the page. Through their words and the artful pen of their Momma, Lexy and Bruce remind us of the wonderful things that happen when we open our hearts to the world.
I didn’t love this book, I adored it! As an animal advocate myself, the mom to two pit bulls, and other peoples who have sadly passed over the bridge, this resonated so much with me. I have followed the story of Lexy and her dear Bruce for several years now on Instagram.Lexy’s life was that of heartache and pain until she met her mom Jenny & of course her beloved Bruce. Watch out for Lexi came from her awful beginnings to the amazing & abundant love she was given abs shared was incredible. Lexy, a senior pibble was so loved by her Momma & then the love became even greater and so special when Lexy met her love & soulmate Bruce. The love letters between Lexy and Bruce are beautiful in every sense of the word. Yes Lexi had cancer but she also had the most incredible support system. She was loved each moment and tell her last breath. I cried so much yet there is so much love, My tears or a combination of sadness enjoy.
I can’t recommend this book more. I know I will read it many times over. I also plan to purchase many mote copies as gifts. This love story should be shared with everyone. A huge thank you to Lexy and Bruce’s Momma Jenny Mackay for sharing Lexy and Bruce with us. ❤️
