This book is so-so. I had this as my French textbook last year, before I switched to Mandarin, but I still have used the book a lot.
It's not that the book is bad, it is just outdated. But, there are a bunch of things that I like:
*The drawings. I just love colorful pictures and when I forget a word, I just think of the pictures
*The exercises. There are some fun exercises and practices to do to help enrich your French knowledge. Most times, these exercises were my French homework, but I still could do them in my free time
*The cover. I am for the saying "not to judge a book by it's cover", but for some reason, I love the cover. Again, don't know why, and it never influenced me, but...
Anyway, this was a pretty good book to learn French overall. It is a bit outdated, and uses Francs instead of Euros and such things like that, and most aspects really don't affect your learning capability. Happy Reading!

It's old and out dated. It also has a vary noticeable typo on the clothing vocabulary pages
