"McKenzie was staring at him. The Fighter’s hands were hidden in his pockets and the dog was leaning closely to his side. He gazed deep down into the valley as the sun bursted behind him with rays that kissed McKenzie’s face.
He was strong and he was kind. He looked like a baseball player but could ride better than any cowboy she had ever known. He was mysterious, quiet, and yet— after only a few days, McKenzie felt like she had always known him. Especially through this boyish side she had now seen come to life when he was around Aiden. He was like her own two boys, guarded souls whom would only come out when provoked thoughtfully with playful joke, or with love.
The Fighter’s pain was deep—much deeper than hers, and still, he selflessly cared about others. He cared deeply for Aiden and she saw it. And she knew now, what he meant to her. He told McKenzie that he was going to the Grand Canyon; the last place his fiancé wanted to see before she died. McKenzie had ran into him in old Prescott more than once now, and the more they spent time together in these three days, the harder it was for each of them to say goodbye.
And now they were here, the sun setting before them, the light upon them, wondering in these last moments together—are there really second chances in life and love?"

In The Incredible Existence of You, Drue takes us on a journey from despair to hope, with insights into love in all its forms along the way. His characters emerge from the pages with life and depth, warmth and sincerity. For so many people struggling with depression, loss, grief, post-traumatic stress, and thoughts of self-harm, Drue shines a light on their common lived experiences. He offers a roadmap to recovery through connection, and ultimately an affirmation of the incredible existence of us all.

I was so excited and curious to receive this novel; I just jumped right into it! I meant to read only one chapter, but then, I couldn't stop reading.
I spent a few days fixated on the characters in the story - learning and getting to know each of them. I defaulted to my fascination with people and what makes them who they are and why. The familiarity of what the characters were going through - aches and pains, emotions, and struggles. I identified through real lifelong experiences of hardships, losses, and disappointments. It conjured deep empathy and compassion for each of them, and I only hoped that they would have each other's support to overcome their sorrows. Wait?! Was I reading something based on a true story? Then, I realized this book is more than just a story. It is an honest letter of hope to those who have been through the bleakest of times, experienced loss in death, love, and friendship.
I came across a message of reassurance and comfort:
"When we live or operate in fear, our heart is pushed and pulled without any true resolution or understanding. But fear also tells us this: the reason we're afraid is because, deep down, there is something hidden that we actually care about. The process of facing our fears is actually the process of unmasking our truth, and to unmask our truth is the foundation for us to express our love."
My perspective changed, and it started to all make sense. The author creatively designed this book to deliver its readers' a sincere message of love and gratitude for just being us and it begins in the title, The Incredible Existence of You. The overall story is a journey to teach us how to value all of life's lessons, good and bad. It reminds us that second chances exist for a good reason, and it IS a true story of the importance of love for ourselves and others.
This is a beautifully crafted piece of work that gives back to humanity, to us.

In this compelling novel by Drue Grit, we are inspired to partake on and share in an inward journey of navigating conflicting emotions and graces towards one's path of healing, acceptance and love. Drue Grit, encourages within his writing the well-known truth that each and every one of us are fighting battles most know little or nothing about. Especially in our current culture, a masculine's ability to cope with loss, grief, understanding, purpose and love are oftentimes minimized, in which mental health issues are prone to abound. While much of the world judges, Drue Grit uses his characters to extend compassion, empathy and love - first to themselves, and thereafter outwardly towards others, demonstrating that the remedy to any and all of life's trials and tribulations, is the acknowledgment and acceptance of the love that exists; there is always love, within its many faces. It is love that heals us and frees us; it is love that empowers. I strongly recommend this novel to all who desire to know themselves, especially through a lens of love.

It is a passionate tale that peeks into the dark depths and inner struggles of the human heart, depicted by two lost souls that find each other, and a mesmerizing land painted beautifully by the author's words. It is a journey from despair towards hope. Captivating and breathtaking; a must read.

What I appreciated about this novel is that the author created characters that were relatable to all who struggle with mental health. The Incredible Existence of You offers hope through the character’s journey by shining light to the core message that life is about the human connection, the miracles we experience and most importantly it’s about love and the power it has. The journey this novel takes you on is captivating, thoughtful and deeply moving, a must read!

I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed the journey it took me on. It is a wonderful story about two souls that find their way to each other, but also back to themselves. The author did a great job with the character development, aswell as the description of their thoughts and feelings. You feel with them, you cry with them and you share their happiness. I'm glad this book was recommended to me!

WOW!! Drue’s book “The Incredible Existence of You” takes you along on a journey, through the eyes of a ‘Fighter', from pain to peace and the hope of love after loss. This book shows you how important it is to fight through the fear and embrace your second chances.
Drue's writing captured me from the first paragraph. His words drew me into the story immediately and made me feel as if I were standing in the room, silently, invisible in the corner, observing every move, connected to every emotion. I felt a part of this journey with each turn of the page, not wanting to stop. If I didn't have appointments scheduled the day I started, I would have read it straight through in one sitting!
Drue's writing captured me from the first paragraph.
