Welcome back to Maui for this heartwarming book about family, forgiveness, and what it means to be supported by the people who mean the most.
Tides of Paradise continues the heartwarming-but-juicy saga of the Briscoe family. When Shane Briscoe opens the door to find a surprise on the other side, everything in his world changes. Katie and Jon rebuild after a devastating fire but will the new architect coupled with Katie’s ambitions put their marriage on the rocks? Aiden settles into his new position as captain at Maui Emergency Services until a surprising discovery about one of the employees puts everyone at the station at risk. Years after his wife bailed on their marriage, Miguel Nakamoa has settled for remaining single…that is until a new realtor moves to the island.
You won’t want to miss this new episode of a story that has the emotional tenacity to fuel surprises, laughter, and more than a few tears. Perfect for fans of Robyn Carr and Susan Wiggs!

Wonderful ! This fictional family is one of the best that I have read, the characters are realistic with their own personality's and values. I really like that this author touches on issues that occur in the real world giving the reader a opportunity to connect with the story. Issues such as cyber bulling, physical and emotional abuse . as well as infidelity, and money issues. I also liked seeing a character from a previous book this author wrote, (Mother of Pearl) introduced as a guidance counselor, trust me you want to read this book to. Over all this series has been great cant wait for book 4 to see the cont progress with these characters .

This writer has a continuous flow during her series that makes reading the novels a joy! The author's vivid descriptions of foods, clothing, and locations are such a natural feeling that I can taste and smell them as if they were really in front of me! I can hardly wait to read the next book out!
A great addition to the Maui Island Series. Life continues yes for the Briscoe family: Mom Ava, and children Shane, Aiden, Katie and Christal. Shane is surprised when the love of his life Aimee shows up with son Carson. But can his live be enough? Aiden has been promoted to captain, and begins to worry about his coworkers. Katie and husband Jon are building the house of Katie’s dream. Daughter Willa discovers teenagers can be vicious. Christal is learning to open her heart to love. The book contains Vivid descriptions for life in Maui. You can almost imagine you are right there in Hawaii on the Pali Maui plantation
The Briscoe family learns once love and family support will help see them through tough times.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion

The third book in the Maui Island Series is fabulous! The love of Shane Briscoe’s life has returned to the island with a child. He has accepted the responsibility of a family but soon discovers love may not be enough. Aiden Briscoe, captain at Maui Emergency Management, has a co-worker in an abusive situation. He is faced with some tough decisions on how to help even though it isn’t wanted. Aiden hopes he is able to help his co-worker before it’s too late. Katie Briscoe and her husband Jon are about finished with their new home after a fire destroyed their first home. Katy and Jon are on rocky ground after the stress of building and bullying situation with their daughter puts their love to the test. The Briscoe family faces all of their challenges together and somehow love gets them through!
This book seems very aptly named. The twists and turns in this one were a bit like the tide going in and out. There was some trouble in Paradise. A couple of the new characters were rather eccentric and funny. Some of the others needed a lesson or two. I love this family. I wholeheartedly recommend this book and can’t wait for the fourth one.
Tides of Paradise is Book 3 of the Maui Island Series where by now you have made many connections with the Briscoe family and are on their personal cheering team.
Kellie Coates Gilbert’s characters come alive to you as a reader as you can relate to the many challenges they face, feel the pride building inside you when they step up to the plate of responsibility, and share in their kaleidoscope of emotions.
You won’t put this story down as your brain will be racing ahead trying to solve their problems and thinking about what comes next.
Another winner in the Maui series!! Book 3 picks up right where Book 2 ends. The Briscoes are moving on from the loss of their father, but life continues to throw the pineapples at them. Shane is shocked when Aimee shows back up with a surprise. Aiden’s promotion to captain comes with dreaded paperwork and looking out for his teammates away from work. Katie and her husband are building her dream house on the plantation, but also raising a teenager. Christal is learning to open her heart after her hurtful heartbreak. I can’t wait to see where each ends up next!! Starting Book 4 NOW!!
Caution for domestic abuse and teen cyberbullying. What an aptly chosen book title! Just because you may be in Paradise doesn’t stop the tides from altering more than you expect! Ava and her children - Aiden, Christel, Katie and Shane are back along with their significant others (other than Aiden but could he and Megan??)…Shane’s girlfriend returns to Maui with the sweetest surprise! Does Shane step up? How do Katie and Jon deal with a new build after the fire and the cyberbullying directed at daughter Willa? This was a good read with all the characters having something interesting and challenging affect their relationships.
Change is around the corner in book four, which is the last in the series. Going to miss the Briscoe family and friends when that book is read!
I continue to admire those who choose love and happiness, and even forgive Katie for her manipulative ways. I received many wise thoughts here from some hurt people, which means a lot to me as my precious son died suddenly a year and a half ago at the age of 40, and I will be sad forever but am trying to focus on all the good that is left. Now I will continue to read and try to like Vanessa!
The 3rd book in the series and it is the best one yet! I am really loving this family and feel so connected to them. Shane has his hands full in this book with his son Carson and his fiancé Amiee. There are wedding bells in the air.
Looking forward to book 4 and seeing how things go after that bomb that was dropped at the end of the book.
This is the third book in this series about this family who lives in Hawaii. The way they are always there for each other is a lesson many of us can learn from. I enjoy how each book has a story for all the characters we have come to love. Best to read in order and have the next one ready as you don’t want it to end.
