The Diabetic Cookbook For Beginners: 500 Quick Recipes For Diabetics with Ingredients Readily Available in Your Pantry | 28 Day No-Stress Meal Plan With Tips And Strategies To Live Healthier
I've been following my interest in food by taking up various Amazon offers to download cookbooks for free to my Kindle.
This is one of the better selections I've made as I am diabetic. There is a good number of healthy recipes based on fresh ingredients. Additionally, there is no overuse of ready prepared foods. I also like the way it gives plenty of nutritional data for each recipe. To someone new to diabetes it would be genuinely useful.
Something of a bete noire for me but once again there has been no effort made to convert the measurements or ingredients from the US originals. If a book is going to be offered outside the US a little work to convert these would be appreciated.
Fortunately, I can cope and convert the recipes to European equivalents.
Im not diabetic but i got this book because of my mom, i wanted to be able to cook for her once in a while and we started with the snacks, we tried the spinach flitters and the mocha smoothie and they turn out to be very good. Im looking forward to do a main dish…Great book
Not only do you get 500 diabetes friendly recipes, but you get a meal plan. You’ll learn what some of the causes of diabetes are and answers to many frequently asked questions about this disease
This cookbook starts out with a very good guide on how to deal with diabetes effectively. I’m reminded of the commercial where the diabetic is trying to figure out what they can eat. Not with this book, as it contains 500 recipes, covering all meal times plus snacks.
