I’m currently reading Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell — and even halfway through, I can tell this is a book that leaves a mark. The language is rich, the characters maddeningly human, and the story deeply layered.
Scarlett O’Hara is unlike any heroine I’ve met — bold, selfish, resilient, and completely captivating. There’s so much to unpack — from Southern pride to racial politics, from survival instincts to shattered ideals.
It’s a heavy read, both in content and size, but it’s also a masterclass in how people change — and don’t — in the face of loss and war.
Can’t wait to write a full review once I finish. But one thing’s clear: this isn’t just a love story. It’s a story about the refusal to break — no matter what the world takes from you.
