Creation responds to the mysterious Shift in the flow of Eth. Unknown dark forces threaten the lives of the party from Ydassum. Barrost continues with its excesses, oblivious to the signs, living up to its reputation as The Bejewelled Wasp Nest of the Northern Horn. Toman can’t stop the nightmares. The strange dreams. The blood dripping from his Linger. He wants to tear up the blue sash and throw it away, but can’t. It’s a part of his new identity. The unstoppable Beckoning resounds deeper through the foundations of the world.
Love the smell of tilled earth as much as a handful of freshly sharpened pencils. They both inspire. And there's something mystically theraputic about a packet of seeds, or a pencil, in hand. And a cup of espresso. Can't forget good coffee.
I loved the first book and the same goes for the second one. It is so well written and just the love for details in the book is amazing. I'm excited to see how it will continue and can't wait for the third book. I recommend the Palanshia series to everyone that enjoys fantasy! Also kudos to the amazing illustrations, they bring the chaperts even more to life.
Although I worked closely on this book as the illustrator, I really enjoyed it! New characters and new places, new customs and new threats. More effects of the Shift are shown, the threats become more intricate and new characters are introduced. The awkward situations Toman found himself in had me laughing and blushing at the same time, and the last chapter had me asking for spoilers from the author! ( My lips are sealed ^_^ but really cool stuff are on the way )
