The planet the explorers discovered is called Haven. Considering the Korians and Sholites, once ferocious enemies, had recently come to a peace agreement, the planet’s name is an excellent omen for a peaceful future—or so the Korians thought.
Now, with their space armada left behind, the people living on the new-found planet find a growing rift amongst them. A civil war erupts between the Korian Patriots and the Loyalists with Romy Gunn caught in the middle.
Romy Gunn, great grandson of Natalie Lowe of Earth, and son of Ryder Gunn, has not had an easy life. Circumstances, out of his control, have tarnished his family name, leaving him shunned with no purpose in life.
However, the appearance of a mysterious woman wielding psychic powers, proclaiming to be both savior and mentor, has Romy’s mind spinning. She reveals an incredulous tale providing Romy with great opportunity, but even more responsibility. It leaves him with a decision that will alter his life forever.

Reading books, to many, has become a lost art. To those of us who do read avidly, we understand the draw of a good story. We understand how a well written tale makes you part of the book. As a writer of six books to date, I can tell you when I write it has the same affect, but it is greatly multiplied.
That's why I write. I enjoy being in the story, just as I write so my readers can be drawn in, in the same manner. With this as my somewhat selfish goal, I do not write stories to make money. In fact, with the publishing business being what it is today, it's a mind settling goal, allowing me to only worry about what I put to paper.
I live in Barrie Ontario, a midsize city an hour north of Ontario. My wife Jane is my helpful editor and partner in crime. She is the inspiration that has me coming back to my desk for the next chapter, along with my two daughters and two stepdaughters.
I primarily write science fiction, although The Wall Plug Boys, a contemporary middle America comedy, might just be my favorite.
I believe a good writer must be excellent in many skills required for a good book, but most excel in a minority of them. Personally, my strengths are in the plot. I take a lot of time to develop a web of interlinked threads. I enjoy leaving the reader a little baffled, at times, only to have a "holy shit" moment when the threads are pulled together. With that said, my books might not be for the very simple reader, but if you are a thinker and enjoy the challenge, give one of my books a try.
