Jared Bridger is a former Army Ranger living off the grid when he finds it ... the portal.
It transports him to another world full of dark magic creatures. Orcs, mimics, beast-kin, dragons -- they're all real.
When The Adventurer's Guild in this other world offers Bridger a job, he accepts. He agrees to hunt orcs for them in exchange for being given his own plot of land.
Climb the tower. Slay the orcs. Collect the rewards.
As long as Bridger does that, he can bond with gorgeous monster girls and build his own homestead free of The Guild's laws.
Until he is called upon to save this new world from being destroyed ...
Warning: This story is an action-packed portal fantasy adventure that includes graphic violence, LitRPG elements, tower climbing, mana cultivation, explicit scenes, and harem relationships.
Monster girls, magic, slice of life moments, action and adventure, LitRPG elements, unconventional relationships, and explicit scenes. If you like those things, then you've come to the right place. I write harem novels for readers who love NSFW fantasy stories.
For a title of orc hunter, the main character killed a total of three orcs the entire time he was in the other world. I'd hardly qualify that as orc hunter in another world, but to each their own I guess. Of course, if you're an orc hunter, you really shouldn't be having relations with one partway through the story, but again, to each their own. Minus 2 stars for the title vs. content, but a solid three star showing. It probably would have been a stronger story without the herem elements in it, but I realize those kinds of things sell booiks, so that's why they're there, but still. I gave it three stars, though it's really more like a 2.5 star showing, the story was only mediocre, and the harem elements weren't really necessary, the LitRPG elements were minimal as wel l. Overall, a disappointing showing in my opinion.
I enjoyed reading this book the start was solid but , when we shift over to the fantasy world it gets patchy for me good idea but not a strong follow through. I believe the story has merit and could be stronger. The interaction of the main two charters is to quick and they are too easily friendly. The story left me asking questions about his and her relationship.I liked the video game references to bridge his knowledge of what he might be going through. Keep up the good work.I would love more detail and to read more about this. Please keep your efforts on this and I hope to read more when you get time.
Until we learned the man's first name, I wondered if his first name was going to be the obvious James or simply Jim. But Jared is fine. The cover is fine, too, but lacks the orc tusks or even the hint of them underneath her lips. Bridger is a PTSD vet who sees a portal open up and three orcs try to kill him. When the third runs away, he chases after, leaving his compound bow behind.
Better edited than usual for indie writers and no pretense, Bridger is all in with having a collection of women warm his bed while willingly agreeing to fight against the evil plan of the baddies. Enjoyed.
OMG! One of the worst things I've read in a very long time. Awkward conversations, confusing charecterisations, some sort of 'good ol' boy/goober' for a hero and hardly any real action to speak of. All of which might have been forgivable were it not for the singular lack of any serious, graphic erotica content. I mean, come on Marc, why do you think so many sad old farts buy these kind of books? We want plenty of graphic babe shagging from begining to end. Nuff said!!!!!
Let me quote my review of Shifter Mage, another novel by Mr. Robert, "writing not worthy of even the amateur scene renders this novel unreadable". Marc Robert might just have to go on the pile of authors that need to prove themselves again to me; joining the like of Eric Vall, Logan Jacobs and Dante King.
When I read, I don't really have high expectations in regards to Fantasy type books so, If you want a quick read that hits on some urban fantasy/isekai then you will most likely enjoy this book. However, this one in particular for me I would say it has some lack in world building and I found it hard to paint a picture in my mind most instances. Overall I would say it was an ok book.
I liked the main story line , not anything new but a nice twist . Didn’t realise it was a harem novel, I personally don’t like it so I skipped those bits which didn’t detract from the story . The main character is a bit op will try the second book when it comes out.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.
This first book was an AWESOME interesting storyline with good characters in the story. I can't wait to read the second one and see what other adventures the characters will be involved in
The story started a bit choppy in the word flow. But really picks up and becomes a smooth easy read. Decent characters and flow of action to world building
Absolute crap. If I had to read the Mc calling the mimic "Little darlin" one more time.... the MC is a caricature of a cowboy soldier living in Alaska. Just couldn't make it past 1/3 of the book.
