Hermione was on the run for four years before Draco found her. She survived, fell madly in love, and watched the love of her life die at the hands of Death Eaters. Now Draco Malfoy owns her and will do with her what he wants. "With me, you will be safe and for that, you will obey me wholeheartedly. You will submit to me mind, body, and soul and I will cherish your submission. You can exercise your intellect within these walls, but you will obey me. Let me be clear, if you fight me on this, if you refuse to submit, I will be your hell." Will she find a way to escape? Will she find love again? Or will she be forced to live as the property of the most powerful dark-wizard in Britain until the day she dies?
I'm kind of a hypocrite for DNFing this and 2 staring it since I've read "A Body Gaurd of Lies" by dulce.de.leche and 3 stared that. That fic got more of a 2.5 star though and I almost dnf'd that. But I agree with other reviewers when they say this particular Dramione dynamic just doesn't work. IMO there's barely any magic and both Draco and Hermione are severely out of character.
Oh... Oh, this was so Dead Dove it's ridiculous. This story is so dark and is so twisty. It is definitely a proceed with caution. And if you have any triggers, you should carefully read the tags because this has just about all the things you can think of. But it is so good. This author is great. They'll get you with the unexpected feels, I promise. I wish we had gotten a little deeper into Hermione, but I was not expecting to feel all the things I felt. Don't worry, I won't spoil anything. EXCEPT if you're looking for Dramione ending up together? This isn't the story for you. But if it makes you feel better, you won't want them to end up together in the end.
Draco is a star Death Eater, one of Voldie's top commanders of course, running the Britain stronghold while Voldie does his bad thing in France. Hermione has been on the run for years. Harry's dead, Ron's dead. She's been trying to figure out how to get to the last horcrux so that they can end the Voldie reign. She has so far been unsuccesful. And then Hermione does a questionable thing and she gets caught. She's brought to Hogwarts where Draco is doing his thing and she comes to learn that he's been looking for her for a very long time.
And now that he has her, he has no qualms about doing whatever it takes to keep her.
Small spoilers: . . . . . . . . . . This author really made me momentarily feel for Draco during the middle and the end. First, where he talks about how he WANTS to be better for her. - Well, maybe start with not being such an abusive asshole. And then when Hermione says she can feel his loneliness. - Well, maybe if you weren't such an abusive asshole. (But also the loneliness really got to me.) Ultimately, Draco deserves it, truly. He honestly deserves worse. But the author wrote him well enough that I feel a little bad.
While the story centers around Hermione and Draco, this is NOT a Dramione HEA. That said, I absolutely loved it. I didn't know it was Theomione going in, most complaints I've seen have been about Dracos character but he's not the love interest here - he's the baddie. Absolutely love a truly grey (but ultimately evil) antagonist. Dark, lots of smut, well written characters. What's not to love?

I had to let go of any expectations I had to be able to appreciate this particular storyline. My emotions were at war the whole way through. The summary did not prepare me for it, but that was probably intentional for dramatic effect, which I kinda liked.
