Unusual.
This was kind of an odd story. I mean, firstly I totally blind skimmed the beginning and felt for sure this would be a DNF. Then suddenly we had a plot and things were looking interesting. But the plot quickly dried up and the book transformed into a character driven story with an ending that just tapered off with no real conclusion.

Buckle up for the ride
If you have not read any of Shrines work before then buckle up. It will be a journey that will have your emotions on a roller coaster ride. Nia is brought out of a deep sleep by an uninvited man giving her pleasure in ways no one ever has before. Little does the man know that she is not who he thinks she is and he is in her bed without her consent. At least at the beginning. How this exactly came about and where it heads is a tale you will want to dive into. It has carefully crafted depths and surprises. Your emotions will get quite the ride.

I don't know why I even bother trying to do anything else once I start reading one of Mrs. McClendon's new books. All I can ever manage to do is empty my bladder and fill it with more water until I turn the last page on my Kindle. The suspense, love, and pure unadulterated passion that jumps off the page from these books never ceases the fill me with emotion. Only a dead battery in a thunderstorm kept me....and that was just that once. I can't wait to see if we see TJ capture his woman, or perhaps Hollow finally finds peace. I feel it's close. I can almost taste it.

Another wonderful story by Shayne. After Dennis and Nia meet in an unusual way, they can’t stop thinking about each other and decide to give the relationship a chance. But little does Dennis know that dating Nia will put his life in danger. Some old characters of Shayne’s make an appearance and things start to make sense. After Dennis finds out who Nia really is, he must decide if Nia is worth waiting for.

Obsessed
I love all these books with action, angst, and Hollow!! I need more!! I devour them like an addict. Please keep giving us more glimpses into this world you've crafted so well. These people feel like family. Their stories are relatable, real, and steamy. I can't wait to see more!!!

Yay, black folks!
As a black woman who loves to read romance, it’s nice to read an author I adore write characters with whom I so closely identify. The characters aren’t walking stereotypes like so many authors write. They are like the folks in my family, funny, smart and hardworking with a sprinkle of not quite stable ones, too.

Great book
I love her full stories. It makes me feel sort of tat world and learning more and more about the internet work is so fun. I always look forward to the next and next. This is another one I have read over and over.
