I found this on the shelves at my work place and since I share a birthday with Smokey, I was interested in learning more about him. I learned a lot about Smokey including the real live bears that were at the Washington Zoo. Some parts were a little tedious and seemed to be less than objective, but overall it was a good find and read.

Happy early birthday to Smokey the Bear. I am interested in doing a library program for him on his 80th birthday so I was researching books about him. I could find very few but this was one of them. Very interesting story!

A short book about the history of Smokey Bear. I found the book easy to understand and I like how the writer introduce you to the story. Obviously it's not my favourite book ever but it's always nice to discover new stuffs.

I would recommend you this book if you are intereste by fires and by Smokey Bear. Or if you want to know more about a national symbol.
