Leading researcher at the State Literary Museum, Moscow. Personal biographer of Alexander Zinoviev. Author-compiler of the book series "Classics without gloss", books and more than 70 articles on the history of Russian literature and methods of teaching it.
Pavel Fokin graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Kaliningrad State University in 1988. From 1991 to 1994 he studied at the correspondence postgraduate study at the Institute of Russian Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Pushkin House). In 1995 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic "The structure and image of the author in the" Diary of a writer "1876-1877. F.M. Dostoevsky ”. Author of the scientific concept of the exposition of the State Literary Museum “What is my faith. Spiritual search of Russian literature. To the 2000th anniversary of the Nativity of Christ ”(Moscow, Petrovka st., 28)
P. Fokin is a regular participant in the annual International Readings “Dostoevsky and World Culture” (St. Petersburg, since 1988), “Dostoevsky and Modernity” (Staraya Russa, since 1989), seminars of the German Society of F.M. Dostoevsky (1993 - 1997, 1999, 2000). He took part in the IX and X Congresses of the International Dostoevsky Society (New York, 1998; Baden-Baden, 2001), in the International Symposium “Dostoevsky and the 21st Century” (Chiba, Japan, 2000).
