The Wind in the Trees: A Nation Divided

Rate this book
A college professor, the leader of the underground patriot movement, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and a Russian billionaire find themselves in stark contrast and conflict over the history and the direction of America. This is a fast-paced, suspenseful read that enthralls all facets of the American life including the good, the bad, and the ugly. A little known Muslim sect adds to the mystery and to the impact of the storyline. Dr. Edward Miller, a professor of history at Coastal Virginia University and a world-renowned scholar of the Civil War, first finds himself in a battle to save his textbooks from historical revisionists. As Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and others start defacing and destroying monuments, cemeteries, and battlefields of the Confederacy, he comes in contact with Donald Smith, leader of the underground patriot movement-an encounter that will shape history. This scenario plays out in a post-Charlottesville society and exposes the divide that exists in this country between the Constitutionalists and the Left. The FBI gets caught up in this conflict as it attempts to avoid another Civil War. Anarchy is the call of the day, and this gives the author, Bunk Russell, the ability to display his unparalleled ability to tell a story. This drama will grip you, and it will never let go. This is evident by a statement from the first person who read the book when they said as they laid it down, "I did not see that coming."

This book leans a bit more into politics than I usually prefer, but I agree that we should not rewrite or erase history. There was a surprise ending that I did not foresee and I'm still digesting that.

My thanks to the author, Bunk Russell, and to Goodreads Giveaways, through whom I received this e book.

This masterpiece will resonate with all the existing fans of different dimensions of history and revisionism as far as it caught my deepest knowledge.

I would say that the story from this book formed the entire greatest factor for us to withdraw our thoughts and reinvent ourselves on how our present was created today. This helps me to easily remedy political will and all the happenings that were perpetrated in the present when it meets the line of history. This book is such a modern representation of all the concepts presented inside our textbooks in our university. But one thing I liked about this book is that it does the wholesome work to instill retrospective narratives to all virtue of patriotism and terrorism alongside the given stories.

Rated 4/5.

There are a lot of gripping perspectives and viewpoints this book has offered to me, and I am beyond thankful that I have found the book that I think is right for me and my curious mind. This made me placed at the point where a whirlpool was created inside me because of numerous stands carried by different characters. If other books have won my mind, I can say that this book “The Wind in the Trees: A Nation Divided” has won my integrity and patriotism. Also, this book shows that the liberal groups and supremacists were the other perspective that we cannot deny and remove from our nation’s system. It just proves that there is still a minority behind the majority. And each of these perspectives was automatically opposed by the patriot movement.

Can anyone here tell me what they think about the title of this book and its meaning? In my case, the title has really got my attention and my interest that it prompted me to find the time to read the book. The perspectives found here are so well-written and my mind has been opened to things that I haven’t really thought of or cared about before. The author’s choice of words and literary expression was very moving and stimulating. I was able to delve on the ideals of the constitution and of democracy, to name a few. So yes, the title was really apt in that it discusses the forces that divide a nation. This has been a great exercise for the mind and for making us care about what’s happening in our nation.

I could not agree more to what Dr. Edward Miller said, and I quote, “When we forget our history, it is dangerous, but when we erase history, it is catastrophic.” As I mirrored this phenomenon, I realized that our history was reinvented and twisted just to be acceptable into the public. I have lived in a society wherein History Revisionism is such a big deal to comprehend with. That is why if I have lived with the time when Dr. Miller found his cause and purpose, I think it would have been a privilege to support such promising and noble actions to preserve our history through its abundance, while criticizing its mistakes, and learning in its process. So yeah, thank you for this wonderful piece! This is such a very good read to start my year!

A Goodreads Giveaway,!
I read the prelude to this book and was very excited to read, mainly because to rewrite history is wrong, whether we like it or not it’s part of our culture, heritage and who we are!
However I was very disappointed with the book, it was badly written, taken from 9/11, blm, kkk etc and storming of the Whitehouse to make a rewrite of the whole thing! Plagiarism might be the right word to use!
Not sure I would read another of this authors books!!
