This is a Romance that has a take on Romeo and Juliet. I loved the characters, and I love that this book has twins in it. The families hating each other thing was not my favorite, but it was done really well. I loved the romance in this book, and the romance was slow moving which was done really well. I really got pulled into this book, and I did not want to put it down. Great Read. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

This is such a beautiful and gorgeous story, that brings together two people caught up in an old family feud, the heroin Marjorie Joan Mabel, MJ is determined to bring a stop to this feud and Nikos Constantinos who is so against the Mabel family there is no way he is going to mix with any off them, but when MJ comes to him with a request he finds he cannot refuse, you must read this wonderful story it is sure to leave you feeling so very good.

MJ is beside herself with worry when her twin sister runs off after a fight with their father and not only that but it appears that she has run of with the enemy so to speak, a member of the family that they have been feuding with for over fifty years and MJ wants nothing more than to find her sister and to put an end to the feud so she enlists the help of another member of th Constantinos family Nikos and offers him something that their family wants badly but will she be able to end the feud and keep her heart safe.

Nikos is stunned when MJ walks into his office uninvited the cheek of the woman but when she tells him what has happened he is furious with his brother firstly and he, although not happy he agrees to help track her sister and his brother down, this means spending time with MJ as they search, the tensions and chemistry that sparks as they journey together is worrying for Nikos as he feels the wall around his heart and mind breaking down the more he gets to know MJ and listens to her reasons to end this feud.

MJ is the most beautiful heroine, she is strong and so caring she has a heart of gold and sees the way things should be with the two families, Nikos is so close to his grandfather and father and believes the things that have happened but it does not take MJ long to change his mind as he falls head over heels in love with this beautiful woman. Their journey together sees them enjoy a very sensual and heart-warming time that had me cheering them on all the way but a secret may break them apart.

This is a must read story another fabulous story from a true story teller, MS Douglas brings her characters to life so easy in situations that pull a reader in, this one is such a happy, happy story a beautiful romance that left me feeling very happy.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review

(Thank you to Harlequin Romance and BookSirens for an arc of Escape with Her Greek Tycoon in exchange for an honest review.)

Escape with Her Greek Tycoon is a romance novel, a modern spin on Romeo and Juliet. We have all the elements for a great story, two wealthy warring families with a lot of baggage and hatred between them. Betrayal and heartbreak that has carried down generations. In the present generation, we have Nikos, the oldest from the C family and heir to the C empire—shouldering this feud as is his father and grandfather. His younger brother Christian has set out to make it on his own and does not want to be a part of this feud.

Then we have the Mable family. MJ and Sienna, the Mable twins, want to end the feud. MJ in particular does not want future generations to carry on this feud. And when her sister disappears off the map with Christian, she sets off to find them both and fix the feud between their families. But she has a lot against her, her own father for one, who is still deeply entrenched in the feud and hates the C family. In the midst of all this, there is a huge secret, one that could ruin it all...

Great elements for a story. Unfortunately, I just couldn't connect the characters. Sienna and Christian frustrated me with the way they took off, neither of them using their brains or acting their ages (maybe I'm just jaded, but they are in their twenties and the way they took off just felt like an immature response). Maybe if the set up before they took off had been more fleshed out—wherein we actually saw who Christian and Sienna were as people (rather than being told who they were), I would have felt that their efforts had come from a noble and selfless place and was a romantic one.

The chemistry between Nikos and MJ felt shallow. There was a lot of telling vs. showing. Both seemed to know exactly what sort of person the other one was (exemplary), even though they've hardly interacted due to the feud, and both seemed to be paragons of goodness and perfection (outside of the feud). They were attracted to each other and I was repeatedly told this more than I was shown this. I was also getting frequently told just what each thought internally and about the other every step of the way... Because of this, as a reader, I didn't have to surmise anything...and therein lacked any sort of romantic tension or angst or frisson...

I wanted to love Escape with Her Greek Tycoon. It was an enjoyable read, but given that a Romeo and Juliet inspired romance has so much potential, I was a bit let down.

This is Mills&Boon/Harlequin romance at its best! Like a modern-day Romeo & Juliet, Nikos and MJ are members of two hotelier families who have been sworn enemies and archrivals for generations. Only MJ is determined to end all that and enlists Nikos's aid. I loved her spunk, her fire and her willpower and her willingness to overlook slights and Nikos's secrecy. A great HEA with some surprises even there! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Four and a half stars

Escape With Her Greek Tycoon by Michelle Douglas is a lush, delicious romance. MJ Mabel turns to Nikos Constantinos as her last resort in tracking down her twin, whom she believes to be with his brother. Their families have been at odds for a couple generations, and they’ve been conditioned to continue the distrust and animosity.

But MJ’s sunny disposition and big heart win Nikos over as surely as his integrity and consideration do in the reverse.

Ms Douglas does a beautiful job with this enemies-to-lovers story, and it will leave you smiling joyfully too. Her portrayal of the gamut of sweeping emotions resonates and captivates. Looking forward to future reads!

I absolutely loved this book by Michelle. Nikos and MJ’s families are in a Romeo and Juliet style feud that goes back generations with lying, cheating and a valuable necklace thrown into the mix. Nikos and MJ have always had chemistry but they are strictly off limits. Thrown together to search for their younger siblings their feelings are brought to the surface as they progress. The story is enthralling, the setting just gorgeous as Michelle weaves her magic and creates a beautiful story of redemption and forgiveness and love.

An electrifying forbidden romance! Michelle Douglas shines in ESCAPE WITH HER GREEK TYCOON as a journey to healing and forgiveness makes way for familiar expectations and love at all cost. The characters were highly enjoyable and the emotional depth was spot on. I highly enjoyed MJ and Nikos!

MJ is a giving soul who loves deeply and invests all of herself in others.

Nikos is willing to transform the man he thought he was into the man worthy of this special lady once they narrow down the details of who is trustworthy in the past.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an emotional love story filled with family drama, tender connections and the will to be together through anything.

It took me a few days to read this story, not because it was bad, but because it was too tame for my liking 😂. The storyline itself was good, but there are a couple of typos and plot errors that need fixing. But I like my Greeks with more alpha backbone 😂, although Nikos was a gentleman. It is a feel good story, so if you like them clean and leaving you with the fuzzy wuzzies then this story does that.

Marjorie Joan Mabel, MJ, is what she likes to be called, is looking for her wayward sister who is missing. The only person who could help her is Nikos Constantinos. The Mabels and the Constantinos have a feud that goes way back. She needs his help because her sister and his brother have ran off. Her sister is sick so she ask him and she will return a piece of jewelry if he helps her find them. All Nikos wants is to return the jewelry back to his grandfather and stop his brother. As they travel, they spend a lot of time together. The chemistry is fiery hot. Nikos knows they can’t be together because of the feud. MJ thinks that the feud should end. She is a strong woman with a big heart. Nikos knows a secret and won’t tell her because it could break her heart. Will they find her sister and his brother? Can Nikos split them up? What will happen when everything comes out? What will their fathers and grandfather do when they find out about the young couple? Can they families finally let go of the past?’ Will they let the two lovebirds get married? What will happen to MJ and Nikos? I love MJ and Nikos. Awesome read

(I received an ARC for this book)

There’s a long history of heartbreak and pain between MJ and Nikos families. So when they need to work together to locate their ‘missing’ siblings, there’s a lot on the line. MJ is ready to bury the hatchet and prove past the hatred between their families, while Nikos is a little apprehensive about. There’s a lot of pride involved, just like the pride that has been continue the feud for all these years. Nikos agrees to help MJ when she dangles a family heirloom in front of him. Along their trek to hunt down their siblings, and figure out what is going on, Nikos starts to understand why MJ just wants everything to come to an end. His icy heart starts to melt, and he starts to see MJ for more than just her family name. They’re kindred spirits, like minded. All the truths start to come out, and it nearly buries their budding relationship alive. This is a little bit Romeo and Juliet, and a little bit Sherlock. This had all the right hot and steamy angst leading up to the sexual tension snapping…but it came with a fade to black. In fact, all of the interactions that had all the right build up, were essentially fade to black.

5/10 Dirty Birdy
7/10 Enemies to Lovers
5/10 Forced Proximity

I am so in love with this book! I managed to read it in one week and that's unheard of for me.

Let's dive in.

A mystery meets Romeo and Juliet, and a taste of how the London elite live!

Two families in a long time feud, lasting generations and a necklace up for grabs. But there's a rumoured romantic relationship between the two families that two people, MJ and Nikos, one from each of the families must work together in harmony to uncover the truth.

Their search takes them from England to Switzerland and then to a Greek island where Nikos' grandfather lives, which ends in conflict.

MJ confides in Nikos, explaining her twin sister's health problems are the heart of her mission to find her, not the fact that she's in a rumoured relationship with Nikos' brother. Nikos reassures MJ that his brother will be taking good care of her twin.

Will there be a happy ending? Be prepared for lots of twists and turns with Michelle Douglas' new tale, coming soon!

Oh my, I so loved this book, I read it in one go! The story flowed seamlessly and it was a joy to read. I loved MJ’s character, trying to heal their family’s feud, trying to help her sister, finding the ways to do it and always helping with a ready smile and optimism. Ms Douglas managed to write a wonderfully feisty, humorous and optimistic heroine. The hero at first is a bit grumpy, very weary and cautious around her, he doesn’t trust easily, that man. The more he is around her, the more he lets his guard down and he begins to trust her. But then his conscience when he thinks of the secrets he kept.
As long as hotelier MJ can remember, dangerously attractive tycoon Nikos has been strictly off-limits because the scars of their families’ feud run deep. Now MJ needs to track down her wayward sister, and he’s the only person who can help! They're alone together, and tensions run high as they both fight the inevitable chemistry. MJ is strong, smart and speaks her mind so she has no qualms walking into Niko's office requesting he help her find her sister and his brother and has a carrot to dangle if he tried to rebuff the request due to their ongoing family feud. Being together while trying to track down their siblings allows MJ and Niko to get to know each other and trying not to act on the attraction they both felt when she strode into his office. You are kept is suspense as lies and secrets are revealed as well as kept hidden as you know they could crush what's building between MJ and Niko you wonder if MJ's fights to put a stop to the feud will happen as it appears everyone else apart from her sister and Niko's younger brother want to move on. . This is a Mills and Boon True Love Book and it is Nikos and MJ's story. MJ and Nikos are caught up in a family feud and MJ has had enough of it and she wants it to end so when her sister goes missing MJ goes to Nikos for help to find her and it seems like he is unable to say no for some reason even though he knows that he shouldn't. The chemistry between them was so strong and intense but will they be able to resist each other and if they give in what impact will it have On there family's only time will tell what the outcome will be for them all. I really enjoyed reading this book and I couldn't put it down as it was so engaging and had you turning the pages to see what would happen next. The characters and storyline pulled you in and kept your attention throughout and I can't wait to read more books by Michelle Douglas who is a new author to me and her books are so well written and definitely worth reading.

A wonderful story about two people Marjorie Mabel, MJ and Nikos Constantinos. Both of them are caught in the middle of a generation's family feud. MJ asks Nikos to help her find her twin sister that is ill. Nikos is searching for his brother. Together they rehash the past and uncover more than they knew but as always nothing but a wonderful happy ending. Enjoyed this book so much and having twins made it even more interesting. You always get a wonderful story from Michelle Douglas

I absolutely loved this story. Marjorie Mabel, MJ, has a lot to deal with mostly Nikos Constantinos and his family, who was always supposed to be the enemy. As she goes searching for her twin sister who is ill MJ finds out more than she bargained for when she teams up with Nikos as he searches for his brother. They must rehash the past while dealing with their feelings for each other.

Not gonna lie this gave me a little pride and prejudice vibes, especially with the almost enemies to lovers element and the fued between their families and him helping to find her sister! I loved reading their growing relationship and how intense each of their interactions is. The romance shined through but the book still had some heated moments. I was very happy with the storyline and seeing how their relationship developed until they got their much deserved happy ending..

This is such a good story with a modern day spin on Romeo and Juliet. I like the characters and how their story develops. This is a forbidden story about MJ and Nikos. Their families are both hoteliers who have a bit of rivalry and have been enemies for generations. She needs his help to find her sister because MJ believes she is with his brother. This is a nicely developed story that is captivating and interesting.

I thoroughly enjoyed MJ and Nikos's story in another fantastically fun read by Michelle. MJ engages Nikos to help find her sister and his brother, although their families hate each other and by proxy, they are meant to hate each other. But they don't hate each other and can both put aside the feud to achieve their goals and eventually act on their growing desires. The family feud felt real and justified, but something that could be honestly solved when all the players had all the correct information.

This story will take you on a fun trip to the English countryside and through the majestic waters of Greece. A lovely, romantic story indeed!

This was like a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliette. Two families are at war with one another. The disappearance of one families son and the others daughter brings two people together.

Marjorie and Nicos has to work together to find their respective siblings. Marjorie wants to resolve the issues between the families and Nicos has other motives for helping Marjorie. The book is the story of their journey from enemies to friends to perhaps something more…

This book was beautifully written. The reader was drawn into the story. The book was easy to read and had some memorable moments between the characters.

This book is so intriguing when there is talk about a family feud and other things going on. It is interesting to try to keep track of it all when she needs his help. I think that you will like the dynamics that are playing out throughout the story as it will keep you involved all the way to the end.
