This is the first book in a trilogy. A cruise with friends, a shipwreck and an island. Sounds good, but there’s more... a virus. Wow, an imaginative, exciting read with lots of surprises

I loved this. I'm a big fan of the supernatural, and I think Osborne does a great job with introducing the world to his work. Is that language a bit simplistic? Yes. However, the author was about 17 years old when he wrote this. The fast pace narrative is reinforced by the anxiety-filled environment, and it tells a compelling story! I would have loved to see more of certain characters, though. Looking forward to reading the second book.

October 22, 2021“Escape from Z Island” is dreadful.
It has a plot with so many holes that it would take a masterly author to make any sense of it – and Terrence Osborne Jr. is not that author.
It's written in the past and present tenses, sometimes both at the same time.
A cruise ship is hijacked by ruthless criminals who set off a deadly virus just as the ship is overwhelmed by a tsunami. The survivors find themselves on an island – those who were exposed to the virus promptly turn into zombies.
It becomes a battle for survival.
And then the volcano erupts!
Meanwhile the virus has hit the mainland and New York is turning chaotic.
I made it to Chapter 7, each one was worse than the last, before I just gave up.
No Stars.

Amazing!
The story is an intense and thrilling start to the series that hooks you right from the beginning.
Escape from Z island shows the importance of resilience and teamwork when facing unexpected challenges.
The story highlights how fear can be overcome when survival is at stake, and how strong bonds with friends can make a difference in desperate situations.
It also explores the unpredictability of life, showing how quickly things can spiral out of control and the need to adapt when confronted with danger.

July 13, 2016This is my brother's book and I'm not saying it 5 stars because so. This book is very fascinating and caught my attention by the front cover. The story about zombies and being trapped in the island is interesting to me and I love how it all came to a great conclusion that involved so many deaths and non-stop fighting. Highly recommend!!!

A very interesting and fastpaced story, but the book is choppy and it feels like it is written by a child. I'm hoping the author will mature in his writing because I really look forward to read the rest of this story arc and learn what happens with the characters.
