A lost treasure trove, a historical coverup, one man determined to find the truth... and the gold.

Treasure hunter and former Navy SEAL Bones Bonebrake needs a vacation. But things never seem to work out as planned.

When a dying man gives him a treasure map, Bones finds himself on the run from the Knights of the Golden Circle, a secret society that will stop at nothing to find the treasure. But they are not alone in their quest for the lost riches. Also standing in his way are a historical revisionist bent on tearing down one of history's most beloved heroes regardless of the truth, and a true believer willing to preserve the legend at any cost.

Lost treasure, secret codes, and historical conspiracies. It's all in a day's work for Bones.

A fast-paced adventure! There's action throughout the book. The reader is taken on a journey into Texas history which contradicts what we have been taught.

When Bones Bonebrake learns the history of what we know to have taken place during the Battle of the Alamo may be false, and also include a long-lost treasure, he's off on a tail-spin trail with his friends-with-benefits lady, Kendra. Their plans are altered by others searching for the treasure and true history of the Alamo too, and they are not above taking down the competition by the harshest means available.

David W00d delivers a thrilling novel with intrigue. You'll be swept in the novel as Bones and Kendra search for the lost treasure of the Alamo.

When it comes to action and adventure, look no further than David Wood's novels. Alamo Gold: A Bones Bonebrake Adventure is a thrill-a-minute adventure you won't want to put down. The protagonist, Bones, is a former Navy Seal who is full of himself, a womanizer, and quirky. The book is fraught with humor, and I laughed out loud several times before finishing. Like all of Wood's books, Alamo Gold is fast-paced, full of nail-biting escapades, and well researched. Alamo Gold did not disappoint this adventure seeker!
I especially enjoy the Bones Bonebrake and Dane Maddock novels, but all of Wood's books are entertaining and worthy of a read.
Another home run thriller and I'm looking forward to the next Bones Bonebrake adventure. 5-stars

Another Fun Bonebrake Conspiracy / Action Tale. Secret societies. Texas history. Haunted graveyards. A Knight's Tale reference. Battle inside a Duck Boat. And even some cave diving to boot. Seriously... what more do you want in 120 pages of fun action/ adventure? This one has it all, including a couple of hot/ steamy scenes... both in the naked sense and the literal one. ;) Another wild romp, this time through a fair swath of Texas, and featuring Bones' usual witty banter and bone-shattering physicality. Very much recommended.

In this book we join Bones while he searches for hidden treasure from the Alamo. It is a little bit weird that I like these books as much as I do, but I think they are a kind of guilty pleasure. Also, they are potato chips books, as in you always want one more. The characters of Maddock and Bones are very, very stereotypical ex navy seals, and somewhat one dimensional. Each book is based on a historical myth, and they are sometimes a little bit repetitive. But the action and adventure is great and very fast paced, and the books are enjoyable.
