This book is good for the person wanting a general overview of what Tennessee's great outdoors is all about. It will give you some interesting little facts, very general overview of areas and a little history of each place. For anyone wanting concrete information about what each natural area provides, detailed descriptions of trails, sights, etc you will not find that here. This is not a book for planning trips but merely a book for getting ideas of places to research further. The author also has a quirky sense of humor and often includes random details and quote/interviews from park rangers that seemed to be added as filler material for the book.
